While reading one of the many stories about werewolves, you might be wondering: Is this chick talking to an imaginative wolf? Is she mentally ok? The answer to those questions are yes and no. This other wolf is when werewolves have some other wolf alter ego which coexist with their human side. This other wolf lives inside the minds of the wolves and interacts with the individual through their mind. Both human and wolf alter ego are their own separate, independent individuals.
I simply refuse to understand why this is necessary but it appears a lot in fiction.
