Zeke patted me on the back and laughed as he watched a group of shadows fly across his monitor, "These children are so stupid! They really think they can come for me? I'm Zeke motherfucking Bianchi, they can't do a thing!"
I laughed along with him nervously, "They're insane boss!"
This changes things. I bet Ace's chart didn't see this coming. I can't leave this room for any reason.
"Completely! Now, Bobby, I need you to go out and kill those five kids along with their friends in the van," he pointed at the black van parked in the back of the building by a fence. "We've been playing with them for too long, it's time to end this little game. It's no longer enjoyable," he leaned back into his chair, waving to me to leave his office.
"B-but boss, what about you? There are about seven of them, shouldn't I stay and send a team to take them out?"
"No, no, I only trust you and remember there's a rat somewhere. You'll be able to snuff them out once you kill the children. They must be leaking information to those brats out of pity because we killed their parents."
"Uh, but what if-"
"Why are you acting so weird today Bobby, hm? You usually just do as I say. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt because of the amount of my trust you hold but I sensed something was wrong as soon as you walked in," he slowly stood up from his chair, grabbing his gun. "Are you the rat?"
"N-no sir! I just have a bad feeling about leaving you alone. As you said yourself, there's a rat helping those kids so what if they're waiting just outside this door waiting for me to leave," I explained, pointing at the blurred office windows where silhouettes of two large men guarding the office door could be seen. Sorry guys. "I know you can handle yourself but I'd rather be safe than sorry!"
He stepped out from behind his desk and began to walk up to me with his gun still in hand. I attempted to keep my eyes focused straight ahead, avoiding eye contact with him as he slowly walked closer and closer. Once he reached me I realized how short he was, his head only reaching my chest, well Bobby's chest. He immediately pulled me down by my tie, our face inches apart as he pressed the gun to the side of my head. I continued on looking forward with a hard glare while I internally screamed.
"Look at me!" He yelled. Once I did, we stood there for what felt like hours as his black eyes flickered between mine.
He suddenly let go and I took a couple steps back, "I'll believe you for now but the second I feel that you're lying to me, I'll kill you."
He sat back down at his desk and threw the gun on top of it. He leaned forward, leaning his chin on his hand, just watching me.
A series of gunshots were heard coming from outside of the office, startled, I took out my gun and watched the door.
"I want anyone who walks through that door dead," he demanded, lying his hand on his gun. I clenched the gun and nodded in response but was I actually going to kill whoever walked in?
I've never shot a gun before! Reapers aren't allowed to have guns. The only people who can handle guns are the linboers on the the security team. Sure I had very little training but it was with a fake gun, I've never even touched a real one until now! I never even killed anyone before. What should I even do? The original plan has gone to shit. He hasn't turned his back to me once this whole time! I don't even think I'll be able to signal Ace for help and even if I could, those kids have screwed everything up so much that I don't think she'll even be able to assess the situation fast enough. If I let whoever tries to enter into the office, he'll shoot me. If I point the gun at him, he'll shoot me. I feel like if I even look at him or talk to him, he'll shoot me. His reflexes are much faster than mine, no matter what I do right now I'll get shot. This is frustrating! Why the hell did Ace put me here? What part of this seemed like a good idea to her?
