AS WE WALKED, I made sure not to zone off too much. I was fully comfortable walking alone since I could always just duck into an alley way and teleport to safety if absolutely needed. But now? With this big oaf here?

I shook my head a bit, I should have taken Fumi's advice and just told Mitsuki I couldn't come in early. Then I could have changed clothes, she wouldn't have seen my uniform and nothing would have changed.

But nope! I'm an idiot! And now I'm walking home with the same guy that was threatening to kill me just this morning.

What in the wattpad fan fic is happening?

I just rolled my eyes in exasperation at this situation, that is, until something caught my attention. I straightened my posture, and ran a hand through my hair in frustration.

"Hey, Bakugou. You like proving you're number one right?" I asked, stopping my music and taking the earbud out to hear better.

The boy in question quirked his head down at me in slight confusion, before humorously chuckling, "What exactly are you suggesting Cyclops?"

"A race." I proposed with my pointer finger in the air. He smirked at this while I continued, "From here to the playground at the end of the block. Short cuts are expectable and quirks are not. Winner owes the loser a favor. Sound good?"

"You're so gonna regret this. Watch, you'll probably break your ankles in those heels." He laughed with his arms crossed.

I widened my eyes for a split second as I had almost forgot about that. I stopped walking making the blond do the same, "Oh right, let me just– There we go!" I faked a lighthearted chuckle at his surprised face.

"H- Okay what just happened?!"

"These are the types of shoes where you can remove the heel, and boom, they're flats now." I casually explained as I tossed the lone heels into my school bag. After I did that, I turned to the boy to see he was all ready to start running. Well that was fast.

Good.

This way he'll be safe.

I counted down and right as I said 'go!' he took off. I did too, but I quickly took the first alleyway as a "shortcut". Thus successfully separating us without him getting suspicious.
