Generations To Come

In the morning Irene and the other Divine Warriors met in the dining room, Menphia served everyone their breakfast, but there was someone missing from the table. "Hey witch, where is the brat" Shad asks as he takes a bite of the bacon he had. "Elizabeth is still asleep, after what happened I felt like she needed the rest" Irene says as she sips her morning tea.

"So, what happened in Melik that caused the whole village to be wiped out" Esmund says as he looks at Irene. Irene sighs and gently places down her tea cup "the village was attacked after sundown, the people that attacked were looking for something but I don't think they were able to find it" Irene says as she cuts her pancake up. "What do you think they were after" "Elizabeth" Irene replied bluntly, causing a few gasps and confused looks.

"What would people want with Elizabeth, I know you said that she has powerful magicks but how powerful could it be that people would kill for it" Enki asks as he places his right hand on his chin, wondering how much power Elizabeth really has. "Her power is on the same level as ours... maybe even stronger" Irene says and closes her eyes. "What how?!" "She's only a child!" "Calm down please" Irene asks as she opens her eyes and looks at her friends.

"I saw her power in action myself... she has angelic magicks. A rare magicks for anyone to poses" Irene says and looks at her hand. "And with you having angel wings when fighting... they probably thought the brat was your daughter or something" Shad says as he leans back in his chair and crosses his arms. "But angelic magicks can be destructive if it is controlled by the users emotions... if Elizabeth saw people dying then it must have reacted" Kul'Zak says as he looks at Irene, knowing that there is something else that she hasn't told them.

"It did... she grew angel wings like mine but had a halo form above her head, I used my magicks to hide her wings and halo so she wouldn't realize what happened" Irene says and places her fork down next to her plate. "What happened Irene... I can tell there is something else on your mind about the event" Kul'zak says as he places a hand on Irene's shoulder. "Her magicks... it reacted badly. It sent a wave out that killed any living thing in the village" everyone's eyes widened from the news about Elizabeth and what happened to the village and the attackers.

"Her magic is that destructive..." "I've heard of inflicting magicks... but something that sends out a wave and kills people" a few of the members thought. "Well Irene... when do you plan to start her training" Shad says as he looks at Irene. He understands how deadly Elizabeth's magicks is for his own magicks is deadly, so he isn't fazed by what he has heard. "I plan to start her training tomorrow, when she has gotten enough rest from using the magicks for the first time" Irene says and looks Shad in his eyes.

"Well I guess the brat can have more than one teacher" Shad says as he eats his pancake, everyone in the room is stunned by Shad's actions and words, some of them couldn't understand why he is willing to help Elizabeth while some understood that he went through almost the same thing when he learned his magicks. "So he does care about her... maybe then he won't mind her being his daughter'" Irene thought as she smiled softly to herself. The group finished eating their breakfast and went to do their daily tasks.

Shad joined a few of the guards for training while Esmund went on portull of the wall and went to check on the outpost outside of the village. Menphia went on a walk around the village to see if anyone needed help. Kul'Zak left to walk around the forest outside of the village while Enki stayed in the village to write more in his study and visit the library. Irene stayed behind to keep an eye on Elizabeth and catch up on some of the paperwork she missed while going to Melik.

Later in the day Elizabeth woke up to have a bit of pain in her back, she groaned softly and sat up, only to feel the soft touch of her feathers gently touching her back. Elizabeth jumped up from her bed and started to get scared by the sudden sight of wings that grew from her back two days ago, she had not seen them before thanks to Irene's magicks. "What is this?! Where did these come from" Elizabeth said rather loudly, Irene heard the commotion and walked to Elizabeth's room and gently knocked on the door "sweetie... are you okay in there" Irene asked before reaching for the door handle.
