Chapter 9

Knowledge Revealed

After the statue's appearance Elizabeth informs Aphmau and Garroth that she has gotten a letter from a far off village in need of her help. "Alright, be safe on your travels" Aphmau says as she waves goodbye to Elizabeth, but in truth Elizabeth needed to return to her body once again. But this time she knew it would take at least a week for her to have enough energy to send her soul back so she wanted to make sure no one worried about her disappearance.

A few weeks went by and Elizabeth had gained enough magical energy to use Soul Reacl once again, when she used the spell she could sense that her mother was in danger. Once her soul got back to the village she started running to find Garroth and Laurance. "Sir Garroth! Sir Laurance!" Elizabeth yells as she runs into the guard station, not knowing if the head guard and second in command would be in here. Elizabeth ran to the back of the guard station and climbed up the ladder right at Garroth and Laurance got to the ladder "what's wrong Elli? Is something wrong in the village" Laurance asked as he grabbed his iron sword that was leaning on the wall. Elizabeth takes a deep breath as she steps onto the stone floor "where is Lady Aphmau" Elizabeth asks and coughs softly at the end, she wasn't used to running so much anymore.

"Lady Aphmau is in the wolf tribe with Kiki, why are you asking Elli" Garroth says as he picks up his shield and looks at Elizabeth. "I sense that she is in danger, we must go find her" the two males rush to grab the rest of their armor and other things they needed for the trip. Right as the two get done grabbing their armor and putting their swords into their scabbards Elizabeth grabs their hands and rushes to the balcony and opens her wings. "Wait Elli-" Garroth's yell was cut off by Elizabeth taking flight and heading towards Bright Port. "What in the name of Irene" Laurance yells as he looks around and then looks up at Elizabeth and her wings, he was not informed about her wings or her magicks.

Once they get to the wolf tribe they are informed that Aphmau and another man left to go help Logan, who is caught in a snow wolf tribe. "Elli wait" Garroth says as he tries to keep himself from throwing up from the sudden flight "there's no time" Elizabeth says before taking flight again after grabbing Garroth's and Laurance's in hands, flying off to where the two went. After a day's worth of travel the three come upon a castle and Elizabeth descends and lets Garroth's and Laurance's feet touch the ground before she lands. "Why are we stopping? The wolf tribe is further out" Laurance says as he places a hand on Elizabeth's shoulder and points to further out into the snow filled lands. "Laurance, she has been flying for an entire day after flying back from her trip to help another village. She needs rest" Garroth says as he gently hits the back of Laurance's head and keeps himself from throwing up his lunch on the stairs.

"That's not why I landed. I sensed Lady Aphmau in there along with two different auras" Elizabeth says as she takes out her diamond sword from the scabbard on her back and holds it tightly as she walks up the stairs towards the castle. Garroth and Laurance take out their swords and Garroth holds his shield tightly as they walk behind Elizabeth. Elizabeth forces the door open and once they are in front of the stairs Aphmau and another man walk down the stairs and to a platform that meets up from the two sides. The two then take hold of each other and start to kiss "what is this... why are there illusions of mom and another man in front of us? Where is mom" Elizabeth thought, and started to look around their surroundings only using her sight.

Elizabeth looks above her and sees Aphmau and the other man she heard was with her in a magic barrier that held them high above the three, Elizabeth could see that even with her mother speaking that no sound was coming out. She takes flight and flies up to the barrier out of sight of normal humans, when she does Garroth and Laurance attack the illusions. In doing so, it causes them to disappear and form into a little ghost boy, right when the ghost boy forms Elizabeth slashes the barrier holding her mother and the other man. The two fall to the ground, Aphmau lands on her feet but the man doesn't. "Lord Aphmau you're safe" Laurance said in pure joy as he dropped his sword, running down the stairs, and hugged Aphmau.
