Sealed Sleep

Within the months after the banishment of Elizabeth's old friends the Divine Warriors decided to leave Scenic village and go to Irene's old home. Irene's home is a faraway island surrounded by mountains and plant life, but Elizabeth didn't want to leave. She loved Scenic village and everyone in it, but she didn't want to leave her family. Elizabeth decided to go with her family but she needed to help Fin first, her and her parents agreed to help Fin out to sea so he could be with his family.

"It's alright Fin, you missed your family so go to them" Elizabeth says as she smiles and tries to hold back the tears of losing another friend, Fin takes her hands and pulls her into a tight hug. "Remember... if you ever need my help I will go right to you. You're considered my family too Elli" Fin says before kissing Elizabeth's head and swimming away after letting her go. "My little angel... your heart is so big" Irene whispers as she looks at the siren leaves.

Elizabeth looks at the anklet Fin made for her. On the seaweed string at the very end of it are dark blue beads swirling with gold in it, it looks as if it is the bottom of the ocean. There are light blue beads that sparkle like diamonds in the sunlight, next to them are pearls and in between the pearls are coffee bean shells.

Fin once told her that the last two beads were the siren tears that allow the bracelet to contact other sirens. Elizabeth starts to tear up and runs to her mother, hugging her tightly as she cries softly "shhhhh it's okay Elizabeth. You'll see him again" Irene says as she gets on her knees in front of her daughter, she wipes her tears away and smiles at her mother. "Now sweetie I have something to give you... but you must promise to keep this hidden from anyone's sight but yours" Irene says as she takes out a small pure white pouch.

"I will mom, but why should I hide it" Elizabeth asks and tilts her head to the right as she watches her mother "because what I'm about to give you has a piece of me within it. It is like your siren bracelet, but for me it will not bring me here. It will lend you some of my power when you call upon me and allow you to speak with me when we are separated." Irene takes out a beautiful golden star necklace. The cord was made out of black vines from the Sacred Forest she had once visited and the golden star charm was an eight pointed star with small white gems made out of pure white magicks that her mother uses.

Irene unlocks the necklace and gently locks it again when it is around Elizabeth's neck. "Sweetie, you must know that all of the Divine Warriors are going to be giving you some piece of themselves, but never let them see what pieces you have already alright" Irene says as she helps Elizabeth hide her necklace with magicks."Okay mom, but why are you giving me these? You, papa, and everyone else have already trained me to use my magicks and witchcraft without fail, along with sword fighting, hand to hand combat, archery, some other combat training, and strategies for fights or running a village" Elizabeth says as she finishes hiding the necklace.

"Because soon we will be leaving to fight... all of us. And we want you to have some way to protect yourself if you use all your energy" Irene says and stands up. "Let's go, the others are waiting for us at the carriage" Irene says and gently takes Elizabeth's hand and they start to walk to the entrance to the village.

Over the next month of travel Elizabeth was given a silver ring with a black dragon on it from Shad, a silver ring with a blue sapphire with two bands of silver going over the gem and connecting to the other side of the ring from Enki. Another silver ring that is in the shape of chains in a circle from Menphia, a bronze bracelet, with small leaf engraving's on the end of the metal bracelet, from Kul'Zak. And Esmund had given Elizabeth golden crescent moon earrings with a thin band curving within the moon splitting in half by a small swirled band in the center of the moon. Under the moon is a golden outline of a star with a small amethyst star inside it.

Elizabeth had thanked them all, but never told anyone that she had them, she hid them by magicks so she could keep her family safe. "Mom, are we almost there" Elizabeth asks as she looks at her mother after they had been on a ship for a week. "We are" Irene says as she walks over to her daughter and lifts her up to see the island. Weeks passed after they had landed and Shad started to act differently, he was cold hearted to everyone... even Irene and Elizabeth.

"Papa can you teach me how to break realms too" Elizabeth asked as she walked over to Shad, they had touched on the topic a few times in the past; but Shad had never taught her how to break through the barrier to a different realm "hmmm how about I tell you how to do it so you don't waste my time" Shad said as he stands up and glares at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth flinches slightly at the glare, it seemed like her father now hated her for some reason, but she couldn't understand why. She didn't want to push so she agreed to listen to his words, he told her how to break through and made fun of her and said that her magicks would never be that strong, she started to tear up at his words. "What happened to you papa... you used to be so nice and caring towards me and the others but now you're just heartless" Elizabeth says before running away, tears flowing down her cheeks.

Elizabeth had ran to the cave that her family would meet to talk about problems that were happening and if they should step in, Irene had added a space hidden behind a wall to have as a safe room for Elizabeth to cry in or sleep when she couldn't sleep in the village. When she entered the cave a huge wave of dark energy hit Elizabeth and sent shivers throughout her body. Elizabeth turned around and ran out of the cave to see what was happening.

Irene was running towards the cave "mom what's going on" Elizabeth asked as she rushed to her mother. "Get into the cave... go to the safe room" Irene said between gasps for air. "Why what is going on" Elizabeth asked once again. Irene grabbed Elizabeth's hand and rushed into the cave "evil has taken over Shad... he is no longer your father but a demon of death and destruction. He calls himself the Shadow Lord..." Irene says as she raises her hand and the stone wall in front of her opens and the safe room is revealed. She then brings Elizabeth into the room.

"What does she mean... papa had been fine when I came up here" Elizabeth thought as she followed her mother deeper into the mountain and further into the cave. "Sweetie... I am so sorry this has to happen but you must sleep. I will be sealing the island in time so nothing happens to it, when that happens I and the other Divine Warriors will bring the Shadow Lord into my realm" Irene says as she brings Elizabeth in front of her.

"After the fight I will come back and wake you up alright" Irene says as she hugs her daughter. In truth Irene wasn't going to come back, she had been faking any emotion she had shown to Elizabeth. Irene was hurting when she had to fake all her emotions to her daughter, so Irene planned to take her relic out of her, remove all her memories and go into a deep slumber until she was needed in this world once again.

Elizabeth could tell this was important to her mother and agreed. "Okay mom..." Elizabeth says as she lays in her bed and smiles softly "I will see you again my little angel and... happy sixth birthday" Irene said before leaving Elizabeth alone in the room to sleep while her family fights for the region. She wanted to help fight but with little training with her magicks and witchcraft she knew she would only be in the way and a liability for them.

"Love you too mom, be safe" Elizabeth whispered before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep, when she does Irene seals the island in time... sealing Elizabeth in her sleeping state. Years go by and Elizabeth senses what Irene did, not realizing how much time has passed Elizabeth had thought that Irene was forced to take out her relic and memories because her body wasn't able to heal anymore.
