Later that same day

Jake wakes up stretching out slowly, he had decided to take a shower grabbing a change of clothes stripping out of his sleepwear to step in to the shower. He sighed letting the warm water cascade over his body as he washed himself off wondering what he will do today, considering he has a couple of options. He wasn't sure what he was feeling today but he shrugged it off as he brushed his teeth since he was already in the shower with the water running, he finished brushing his teeth as he stepped out of the shower. He was trying to ignore the nightmare that he had last night because it's been eight years since that happened, why were those nightmares happening now. Is this a sign? Something he just isn't understanding? What is the meaning for him to be having these nightmares, he remembers everything but last night was the worst memory of them all. Sherry, how he remembered Sherry. He couldn't forget her, she not only saved his life but also protected him from her nut job of a boss, she came up to him on a whim and somehow over the time they spent together he found himself becoming protective of her.

 He feels the flashback coming back of the first and only time he'd seen Leon in person.

Jake and sherry had just made it through the fire from defeating that Ubistvo, they walked past a bunch of burning products from the airplane that crashed nearby when Sherry looks up seeing a man and woman a little ahead of her. "Is that...?" She starts to say as she squints her eyes before she realizes who it is and she runs ahead, Jake following behind her. "Leon?" She calls out seeing him turn around, his eyes widen before he furrows his eyebrows not expecting to see her. "Sherry? What are you doing here?" He asks to which Sherry looks over at Jake gesturing towards him earning Leon's attention "I'm on protective detail." She says and he stares at Jake seeing the resemblance between him and his father. "Yeah, I heard you became an agent." He says sizing Jake up with his eyes before looking back at Sherry. "Why are you here?" She asked watching Leon who looks at his female partner before looking back at her "We're tracking the man behind all this, Executive Chief advisor Simmons." He answers, Jake stares at Sherry knowing she'd be affected by this. Sherry's eyes widen in disbelief as she frowns "There must be some sort of mistake, I report to Simmons." She says to which he clenched his jaw looking at her "He's your advisor?" He asks again watching her to which she shakes her head slowly trying to make sense of it. "We're on our way to meet with him right now." She informs him to which his eyebrows furrow watching her "Where is he?" He demands looking at her, she shakes her head not wanting to believe that Simmons could be behind this, she trusted Simmons. He cracks his neck in sort of an aggravated manner while watching her taking an aggressive step towards her. 

Jake didn't like the way this fool was moving towards her, he didn't trust this man one bit and he damn well wasn't gonna let him talk to Sherry that way. "I need to know where-" "Hey." He steps in placing his hand firmly on Leon's chest shoving him back violently, the same time he does this Sherry holds his arm holding him back. "Jake." She speaks to him, he glares at Leon wondering just who he thought he was trying to threaten information out of Sherry. Leon staggers back as he meets Jake's glare with a glare of his own, Jake grabs Sherry's arm pulling her away from Leon "I thought your direct orders were to avoid contact.. with anyone." He says pointing that directly at Leon, Sherry pulled her arm out of his grab a little annoyed "Leon's not just.. anyone, he saved my life back in raccoon city." Sherry explains and Jake softens before looking over at Leon who subtly nods to him all the while still glaring at him. Jake returns the nod of acknowledgment "Fair enough." He mumbles, unfortunately their reunion is short lived. "Look out!" Leon's companion yells alerting all of them, Sherry turns her head to see a Plane engine flying towards her and everything else moves in slow motion. Leon's eyes widen as he tries to reach for Sherry, upon seeing her in danger Jake lunged forwards tackling her out of the way and shielding her from the instant explosion of the engine before he's helping her back up.
