Raccoon City Reunion (Again)

"Hey Chris, you sure Jake is gonna wanna come?" Claire asks as she looks over at her brother who's looking down at his phone to wait for messages from Sherry to confirm that they were coming, the snow outside was thick but it was manageable for walking in and some of the neighbors were shoveling the sidewalks and putting down rock salt even though it would be no help right now because the snow was still falling pretty heavy. "He should be, Sherry is good at convincing people to come along. Besides, I already made up with him and you've already been on his good side for all the good thing's Sherry has told him about you. Trust me, he would want to come." Chris says as he looks up from his phone to see her leaning on the door frame of the place they're waiting for Sherry and Jake at. "You're right, I'm just anxious to see her even though it's only been like three days since the last time I've seen her before eight years ago." Claire explains and Chris smiles softly sympathizing with her, then he turns to look at her. "I met Sherry personally eight years ago, Claire." He says and she spins to look at him with her eyebrows furrowed, this was news to her.

"When was this? I mean, where did you see her? What happened?" Claire asks coming over to Chris who smiles at her leaning against the chair holding his phone in his hand which vibrated and he looks at Claire relieved, it was from Sherry. "She was on protective detail for Jake, we met back in Edonia and once she said her name I remembered everything you told me about her and all the baby and young pictures of Sherry that you'd retrieved from her mother before she died. She was surprised I knew about her so I mentioned your name and her face lit up like a tree on christmas as she looked at me; 'Wait, You're Chris?' She asked me and I smiled. 'My sisters told me all about you.' Is how I responded and she was relieved to have finally met me." Chris says and Claire smiles unable to believe it, she'd never heard this before and she wondered what had happened to Chris in Edonia. "Chris, I'm so glad you met Sherry personally. And I'm so glad you're safe now, I don't know everything that happened over there but I'm more than grateful I still have my big brother." She says as she gives him a hug which he reciprocates, she was thankful that Chris had made it out alive 8 years ago because she doesn't know what she'd have done without her brother. He was her rock, her protector, her best friend who she wouldn't trade for anyone or anything.

Chris smiles placing his chin on top of her head, he was relieved that they'd been able to finally be with one another and not have to go chasing after one another once again. He'd missed too much of her life, he was supposed to be her protector always and he got sidetracked making sure that Jill was safe. He will admit that he almost forgot about his own sister while he was tracking Jill down for years, Jill was.. Jill's a special part of him that he can't let go.(Anyone who's played RE4 would appreciate that similar reference, I'm not a Leon/Ada fan romantically speaking but I can appreciate that Leon has nice ways of saying things.) Losing Jill, or when he thought he'd lost Jill was absolutely the worst feeling he could've ever had. He hadn't seen her since he saved her from Wesker's control before they escaped Africa and they had asked Barry Burton to join the BSAA in 2009, he wondered how she was doing and if she was better after her bruises since he couldn't have stayed behind to check up on her even if he wanted to. Life as a BSAA captain has definitely kept him on his toes all these years that he missed out on his little sister's growing up, but if he could have one thing changed he would go back to that underwater facility and save Piers no matter what it took. He looks down at his phone with a small sigh awaiting Sherry and Jake, they should be here any second now.

As he's looking at his phone going through his phone memories he hears the chimes go off on the doors and he looks up to see Sherry and Jake come in, but then he's surprised because they're not alone. He sees a third member with them and he doesn't think Claire sees him yet, or Sherry for that matter. He looks stunned to even see Claire, for a moment he hadn't budged from the doorway and it made Chris wonder what was going through that head of his. "Sherry, Jake.. hey, you two. Did the snow give you two a problem getting here?" Claire asks hugging Sherry before she smiles at Jake who gives her a small hug in return, he gives Chris a fist bump and then they're hugging each other. Their problems officially past them now as they hug it out, more on Chris's part for feeling bad about Jake being an orphan being his fault even though he had no idea Jake even existed until he saw him with Sherry before those B.O.W's attacked them in Edonia. They pull apart slowly and Chris places a hand on his shoulder, that's when Jake notices his little puppy dog isn't with him anymore and he wonders what happened to him. "Hey, what happened to-" "Claire.." Jake turns around at the forlorn voice to see Leon and he rolled his eyes before seeing the tension between the two of them once Claire's eyes landed on Leon, this had him confused because of the way he was all stupid for Mystery woman Ada when she even said that he literally knew nothing about her except for what she wanted him to know.
