Sherry and Jake were having a good time with Leon, Claire and Chris. It felt so good for Sherry to be with them, after all they're all she has now. "Hey, Sherry. It's getting late, when are you heading home?" Leon asked softly and Jake looks at Sherry who's looking off in the distance possibly thinking about something, he lightly intertwines their fingers and she notices instantly looking over at him with a blush. "I'm sorry Leon, what did you say?" She asks sheepishly looking at hers and Jake's intertwined fingers, Leon smiles rather endeared by her being caught daydreaming. "I asked when you were going home since it's getting late, I could drop you off it wouldn't be a problem for me." Leon says and Jake's hold on Sherry's hand only tightened a little and it was enough for her to know what he wanted to say but didn't want the air to be hot between him and Leon again. "Oh, yeah. I'll be heading home now, don't worry about walking me home now though. I'll be okay, I have Jake too." Sherry says and Leon looks at Jake for a few moments with an expression that she couldn't read before he looks at her nodding his head softly. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry about that, Claire what about you? Am I taking you and Chris home?" Leon asks in which Chris scoffs and Leon looks at him with an eyebrow raised.

"What's funny, boulder puncher?" Leon asks amused and Chris shakes his head with a smile. (Resident Evil Five Reference (: ) "Claire and I will bring you home and then I will bring Claire home." Chris says and Jake finds this little debate interesting for some unknown reason. Leon goes to protest but Chris silences him, causing Jake to smirk and Sherry blushes softly. It's safe to say that Sherry loves Jake's smirk especially when it's a genuine one. "Why do you get to take me home but I can't take you guys home? You know as well as I do that I can protect you both." Leon protests and Chris rolls his eyes amused at Leon but also endeared by his care, Claire looks between the both of them fondly shaking her head with a warm smile on her face. She loved both her boys, even if they were idiots at times. "I'm the older one of both of us so I'll be taking you home, end of conversation." Chris says and Leon rolls his eyes with an amused smile as he puts down the money for the bill of the cost for the food they ate getting up from the chair, Sherry and the others all getting up as they all exchanged hugs with each other saying their goodbyes.

Sherry felt nostalgic and sad, she didn't want to leave Claire and Leon yet. She'd just found them again after so many years and she didn't want them to go, not so soon. She felt like the time they spent together wasn't enough to satiate how much she'd missed them over the years. Jake turned to her and realized she was going through conflicted emotions as he grabbed her hand giving it a comforting squeeze seeing her turn to look up at him. "Jake.. I don't want to leave them yet, I only just found them again. I saw Leon again before I saw Claire but since my mom didn't care enough to save me, Claire was the closest thing I've had to a mom.. I want more time with her today before I'm okay to go home.." Sherry says honestly and Jake sees the hopeful look in her beautiful blue eyes letting out a soft sigh before he smiles at her. "Go, spend more time with them. I have to talk to Chris about something anyway, if you want you can go home with them and I'll see you tomorrow." Jake says and Sherry shakes her head instantaneously looking up at him as she gives his hand a firm squeeze back.

"No Jake I want you to go home with me, but I just want more time with them, okay..?" She asks softly and Jake gives in kissing her forehead hearing Claire coo in response causing both him and Sherry to blush shyly. "Go ahead, super girl. I'll be here with Chris when you're ready to go home." Jake says and Sherry feels fuzzy all over from hearing him say 'Super girl' since that was his cute nickname for her back when they met, looking back now she knew they were destined to fall for each other because she was tasked with bringing him to Simmons who she then found out was a bad guy who wanted to use and hurt Jake and even when she wanted Jake to escape and save himself.. he chose her. He fought for her, he wanted to be there for her. "Okay Jake, I'll be back in a little bit." She tiptoed kissing his cheek earning an 'Awe' from Claire, Jake was surprised at the public display of affection before he smiled shyly at her pulling her close to him by her waist placing a kiss to her lips which rendered not just her but everyone in the room shocked before she kissed him back feeling giddy and warm like a school girl as she pulled back looking at him shyly walking over to Leon and Claire who don't know what to say before they overcome it for the time being.
