After the movie ends, Sherry goes to take her shower so Jake lets himself look around to better get accustomed to Sherry's place since it was such a large house. He'd found himself going upstairs to see a bunch of medals and cardboard boxes with what seemed to be important things in them, he didn't want to snoop so he was gonna leave the attic but something fell catching his attention and he turned around to inspect what the cause was. Picking up the smaller box he sees that it's a picture of younger Sherry with stuffed animals and Simmons, and she was wearing a locket which made him wonder; Just who was Simmons to Sherry? He wondered if it would be too much to ask considering his untimely demise. "Jake?" At the sound of her voice he sets the box back where he'd found it and he leaves the attic heading downstairs, he halts at the stairs seeing her with her wet hair down to her shoulders framing her face and she smiled upon seeing him. "Hey Jake-" She noticed the way he was admiring her and she blushed. "W-What..? Why are you staring at me like that..?" She asked to which he smiles coming closer to her "It's just.. I like seeing you smile, and I've never seen your hair long.. It's different from the last time I saw you in person." He says softly as his hands lightly grip Sherry's waist seeing her blush just as he smiled watching her, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as her fingers trailed up his arms to his shoulders. "Do you.. like it?" She asked softly to which he smiles more leaning forward to place a kiss on her forehead.

 "Of course I like it, I like relaxed Sherry. I like this Sherry just as much as I like super girl Sherry." He says honestly and she smiles shy averting his gaze momentarily before she tiptoes placing a kiss on his cheek seeing him blush softly "Thank you, Jake." She says in fondness still surprised at the reality that he's here, in her house holding her close to him. All those years wondering if he was okay and being worried about him and now she actually gets to touch him and hug him, he's really here. "You're welcome." Jake says as he lets go of her waist for her to go into the room to go get something, he grabs their finished mugs bringing them to the kitchen to clean them before he comes back out seeing her hand him a picture frame and he was surprised to see a familiar man standing next to a scientist and he looked up at her immediately. "Who are they?" He asked seeing a look of sympathy on her face as she took his hand placing the frame in his hold so he can look at it as long as he needed. "That's my dad, the scientist.. and he's standing next to your dad, Albert Wesker." Jake's eyes flit between the picture frame and Sherry as he feels like his entire world just tilted on it's axis, he'd known about his father but never did know what he looked like or what his name was until that woman in the blue dress explained it to him all those years ago. 

He looked back up at Sherry not even sure where to start, however she seemed to have read his mind as she gestured for him to sit down on the couch. She sat next to him hugging her knees to her chest and he waited for her to speak as he looked back at the picture, they both looked very happy here. "Your dad and my dad were very good friends, even before I was born. They went to and graduated from the same school together and were both deployed to Umbrella's corporation together, in short they weren't just partners. They were working on viruses together and using the virus on humans or dogs to see how it would work and if it wasn't the desired mutation rate they would work on new viruses. However they weren't just cynical, my dad also made vaccines which worked for every virus him and Wesker created." Jake noted the 'Were good friends' in Sherry's words as he takes in what she's telling him, he wonders what exactly she meant by were good friends.  "Your dad... he was a doctor and a scientist. He specialized in biotechnology and bio-engineering, he left my dad's side and Umbrella completely after a failed experiment and he planned to go against Umbrella and steal data from the corporation. He became a spy who gained a career in the United States Army and then he became the captain of S.T.A.R.S." Jake blinks realizing that just like his dad, he joined the army when he was younger but in his case he joined because his mom had gotten very sick and he wanted to be able to support her with money.
