*~Narrator POV~*

(April 16th, 2023)

Almost two hours later, Zeda was growing tired of dancing.

She was craving relief from the pain in her feet and desperately wanted a break from social interaction.

"Hey, I think I'm gonna go get another drink." She shouted to the others over the music.

"You want me to come with you?" Roxy asked.

She stepped towards Zeda.

She wouldn't let her go alone, and vice versa Zeda didn't want to leave her friend with two strangers.

Suddenly a slow song came on, the first of the night and Wen pulled Roxy by the hand, gently guiding her back to him.

"Stay with me, Roxy." He asked sweetly, wrapping his arms around her to slow dance.

She turned to Zeda, looking for her approval.

*K* "Don't worry. I will accompany you." Jae said, pressing his back against her as they did dancing, but now she was feeling uncomfortable from his touch.

Overstimulated and anxious, she stepped away but accepted his offer, seeing as her friend couldn't resist another dance with Wen.

She nodded in response and headed for the bar, him trailing behind her and letting his eyes roam.

In her haze, she had honestly forgotten about Hyunjin for a while and approached the bar somewhat close to him, leaving only one stool between them.

He casually turned, not realizing for a moment that it in fact was her and had a second of excitement, but then realized what this meant. She was so disinterested in him that she came up right next to him with another man.

This almost sent him back into the trance of his memories, but to counteract it he quickly downed the remainder of his glass, and for a few moments it actually worked.
