"Boldness be my friend." William Shakespeare

Wednesday, Hotel Gym, New York City

When Alex more stumbled than walked into the gym in the morning, she regretted ever saying yes to Morgan. Not only had she a splitting headache, that was starting to dissolve only thanks to aspirin, but she also felt like punching something could either be therapeutic or would make her cry.

"Are you okay Secret Service? You look a bit tense," Morgan asked, giving her a friendly hug. Grumbling something inaudible, she let him.

"Fine. Just this case, and...you know, personal stuff," she said, not in the mood to explain something this whole team was probably seeing anyway. Freaking profilers.

Morgan chuckled to himself.

"And with personal, you mean tall, broody, and clearly in love with you?"

Gasping, Alex slapped his arm. "Morgan!"

He only laughed, trying to dodge it.

"Come on, we're not blind. We all know you two are more than a little into each other. But if you don't want to talk, let's punch it out."

Alex felt herself blushing and she shook her head.

"Let's just go with punching," she mumbled, the small smile growing on her face unpreventable. They started stretching slowly, and she felt her body respond with surprising cooperation.

"Didn't Emily want to join?" she asked, grabbing a jumping rope. Snorting, Morgan did the same.

"Yeah, but Prentiss has to sneak out of her room without anyone seeing JJ in there because for some reason, these two think no one knows about the fact they have started sleeping in one room on cases."

Staring at him, Alex started laughing.

"Really?"

"Really," Morgan gave back, starting to jump, "But the great thing is, Rossi has started to drop some hints that he knows, and the panic in both of their eyes is hilarious."

The blonde shook her head.

"And they really think the other one isn't in love."

Morgan gave her a grin that was nothing short of a full-blown smirk. "Evans, some people are just blind."

Rolling her eyes at the insinuation, she focussed on her footwork. And still, when Emily walked in, she couldn't help but give Morgan a big grin. Yeah, some people are blind.

Of course, Hotch had dreamed about her. He woke up wishing she was beside him, even though it had been the sensible choice to split up the night before. Also despite the fact that when he had woken up, he had needed a cold shower.

Walking into the gym, he hoped a run would further clear his head before the day. When he saw three people, he remembered what had gotten him into his questionable mood last night in the first place. Hot realization hit him. His jealousy had been as useless, and he had acted like this for nothing.

"I told you this would be fun!" he heard Morgan chuckle. A groan was the first answer from Alex, who was on the ground, her eyes closed. His team member, in workout clothes, towered over her, pads in his hands.

"Nothing about this is fun," Alex breathed, a slight whining in her voice, "I know why Emily quit on us."

Hotch's eyes wandered over to the other woman, sitting comfortably on the floor. Moving over, he threw a nod in Morgan's and Alex's direction that none of them fully registered. Or in the blonde's case, didn't even see.
