She awakes. The room is warm. As she pulls back the sheet from her face she blows air in frustration, but why? The sun is shinning in the best way. Its glows off her beautiful skin tone. Her hair wrapped perfectly and her smile always starts the day. She rolls over to her cell to see no messages just a friendly reminder dinner at 8. Looking through her playlist she turns on some good morning Gospel. As the tunes play she gets out of bed, removes her wrap and pace to the bathroom. Doing a quick fluff to her fro she began to wash up for her day shall begin. This morning took longer then most, as she finalized her look with some red hot lipstick she zooms to the kitchen for a snack grabs her bag screams "oh shit I'm late" and runs out. Driving to work she observes the world around her. She laughs as the radio talks the latest gossip. Then her phone does its first ring. The name appears as "the other night yea" she contemplate answering but as she pulls into the parking spot labeling her the months best employee she realize she has more time.Traffic must of been smooth she thinks. Noticing her cell is still ringing she answers. "Hello". "Where have you been the last few days gorgeous" a man replies from the receiver. Just one of the few wanting nothing more then a drink and a night of passion. "I'm running late for work, how can I help you". She responds. The man giggles "do you always have to be so blunt, I'm just wondering if you want to get lunch today". As her mind begin to wonder. He continues blabbing. She thinks about the last night they spent together. How he took her in every room. She looks down at his face only its not his face but that of a different lover she once had before. He repeats her name. "Oh Miranda, Miranda, Miranda" she snaps Out of the trance as she realize its the other night calling her name. Formerly know as Tony "Yes" she answers. "Are you not listening to me?" he asks in a demanding tone. She looks around. She has five minutes to get to her desk while still getting some coffee from the lounge before her boss arrived. In response to his demanding tone she tells him she has to go then swiftly hangs up. Now sitting at her desk sipping from her favorite mug. In walks her boss tall voluptuous women with short red hair, thin pink lips and a dress that looks like it belongs on a runway in Paris. "Now that our top competitors are just now seeking to redesign their fall approach, we now have the upper hand since we have been planning for months". "Stacey where are the layouts for the fall collection". She says. Stacey is Miranda's top competitor, barely beating her out last month to be recognize as the companies best asset. As the work day continues, right before lunch in walks her boss to her newly promoted office with the perfect view. "Knock, knock I'm going to Wang Lee's for sushi, want to join?" She asks. Reaching for her sweater Miranda replies "Sure, let this one be my treat." As her first real smile of the day sparkle. They arrive downstairs to a Gentleman opening a limousine door. "Good afternoon Ms. Hatchmen" he greets her boss. "Please call me Angie" she responds to him as she gets in. Miranda following behind. "So Miranda how are you enjoying your new office front" Ms. Hatchmen ask as she glaze into Miranda eyes. she couldn't help but let her top buttons out from her blouse.
