“I what?!”
“You were adopted. Your mother was pregnant with a boy.. He died right after he was born. We were devastated.. A few years later, we tried again but she was unable to get pregnant.. And then we visited a foster home.. and we saw you playing with the other kids. We fell in love with you right away. We knew we wanted to adopt you. So, we did.. less than a year later, you were officially ours... But..”
“But...?”
“When your mother died.. we were gonna tell you that a miracle happened.. She was about a month pregnant... And then..”
“Then the car accident happened... I would've had a sibling?”
He nods, and hugs me again.
“Yes.”
I look down, “Can I.. go for a walk dad? Clear my mind. Think about things.”
He nods, and kisses my head and walks out.
I walk around the park, and I find myself in front of Cody's house. I take a deep breath, and walk to the door. I go to knock but I hear a guy and girl laughing. I look behind me and don't see anyone. I look through the window and see a blonde tan girl on the couch, sitting beside Cody. She laughs and places her hand on his thigh. I look down, and feel a pit in my stomach. I usually don't assume the worst.. But, this would explain why he never answered my goodnight text.. I back up, and turn and walk off, pulling the hood of my sweatshirt up. I walk down the street, and when I finally look up, I don't recognize my surroundings at all. I just walked anywhere. I look around, trying to make out something in the dark. I keep walking, hoping I'll eventually run into something I know. I turn and walk to where I came from, thinking I'd run into the park. Oddly enough, I did. But, not the part of the park I ever go too. I don't know where to go. I find myself a bench, and just curl up on the bench, falling asleep while the tears fall down my cheeks.

Sorry for a short chapter. Next on will be longer. I promise. So, I'm about 2 weeks to late. It's not entirely my fault though! I had two dance competitions back to back. And they kicked my ass. But also, My laptop is still shit, and I was kind of having writers block with this story. When I left off on the last chapter, I knew what it was gonna be.. But, then over the 2 weeks, I forgot what it was gonna be. But, I did remember! This one is actually kind of sad. Thank you guys for being patient, and please don't hate me! I'm taking my laptop on vacation with me. Because my mom is living in Indianapolis durng the week, and for my spring break I'm stayng there with her! I miss her, so I'm excited! But, I will have an update for you by Next Friday! I pinky promise you!
