3 months passed, and Cody and I have gotten so close, that we're basically dating without the commitment. He's still convinced, that I'm gonna find someone else, and I'm doing my best to prove I'm not.

"Kait?"

I look over at the front door, and smile. "You're home! How was the first day of school?"

"It was actually, very calm. My senior English class is gonna be a good class."

I smile, and we sit on the couch and I listen to him go on and on about his day. I see the passion of teaching in his eyes, and that's what I love about him. He's so passionate about teaching, he absolutely loves it. He never gets upset at the kids, because he just wants them to learn. He loves what he does, and I love being there to see him come home every day with a smile on his face. And before you ask, no, we don't live together, but I stay at his house a lot. Jacob never wants me to leave, so I'm there a lot. We've become a really close family. I pick him up from school, we go out for ice cream, Cody comes home about 3-4, and we all make dinner together. We're basically one big happy family, but let's be realistic here.. there is no such thing as a perfect family.

"How about you? How was school?"

I smile, "It was good. We already have a 4 paged paper due next Tuesday."

He chuckles, "Well you always got good grades in my class."

I smile at him, "Maybe because I was not only attracted to the teacher, I was dating him."

He smiles and kisses my forehead, "And you were my favorite student."

I laugh, and lean against him, "A little biased don't ya think?"

He chuckles, "Maybe." He smiles at me, "Hey, by the way.. Go check my bedroom."

I raise an eyebrow, and go upstairs. I walk into his room and see a blue dress laid out on the bed with diamond earrings, and a blue necklace. I gasp and smile. I walk over and pick up the card that's on the bed, laying on top of the dress. I open the card and see Cody's hand writing on it.

'Hey beautiful. Put this on, and get ready to leave. As you're reading this, and I'm sure, smiling really big, I have left to take Jacob to my parent's house. I'll be back at 6 to pick you up. I know you'll look absolutely gorgeous. See you at 6!"

I smile and run downstairs and see no sign of Cody or Jacob. I laugh and run upstairs, I get in the shower. I take my time, and get out after. I dry off, and slide on the dress, and smile. I look at myself in the mirror. I go to the bathroom and apply light make up, and dry my hair and get ready. As I slide on my blue wedges on, the doorbell rings. I put on the earrings and necklace and walk down to the door, I open it and smile when I see Cody standing there with a bouquet of roses in his hand with that big cheesy grin I love oh so much.

"Wow..." Is all he says when he sees me.

I blush and smile, "You look fantastic, Cody."

"You look.. wow. I knew you'd look fantastic in that dress but not that fantastic.."

I smile, "Thank you."

"Here.. these are for you." He smiles, and holds out the roses.

I smile, and take them. "I love them. Thank you."

I take a step forward and kiss his cheek. I go to the kitchen and put them in a vase and put them on the island. I walk back as he smiles.

"You ready?"

I nod, "Yeah. Where are we going?"

He smiles, and takes my hand and opens the car door for me, "You'll see."

Sorry, it took so long! I FINALLY had time to update!! I started college, and i've been hella busy with papers for English. And I have dance 5 days a week now, so I'm always at school or the studio. 

Sorry this is so short! I'll update very soon I absolutely promise! Probably tomorrow because I have no life tomorrow! My first OFFICIAL day off!! :) Yay!!

Just so clarify as well, They are not dating. They decided to stay friends and since she was as close to a mom as Jacob got so she stayed.
