"What did I say about staying away from my family?"

"Like, I'm going to listen to you."

He growls lowly, "Dump my brother and stay the fuck away from our

family."

"First of all, Get the fuck out of the shower. Second, You don't control me.

The only way I'm leaving is if Cody tells me too. Not you, asshole"

He pushes me against the wall and I lose grip of my towel and it falls.

I hear a knock on the door as he raises his fist.

"Mama?

Breakfast is ready. C'mon down, pleaseeee."

I keep eye contact with Derek, "Yeah sweetie. I'll be down in a

minute."

I hear the bedroom door close and I push him back.

"Don't ever lay a hand on me again."

I grab another dry towel and wrap it around me, turning the water off.

I get out.

"Oh and Derek?" I turn to him.

He glares at me, "What?"

"Fuck off." I slap him. I walk out into the room and getting dressed. I

walk downstairs, and put on my best fake smile.

"Good morning cutie." I kiss Jake's head and walk over to Cody and he

smiles at me. He kisses me softly,

"Hey beautiful."

I smile at him, "Hi handsome." I walk to the table and sit beside

Jacob. He talks to me a bit. He looks up at him,

"Was someone here, mama? I heard you talking to someone.. I heard a guys

voice."

Well so much for keeping that from Cody. I glance over at him, his back to

me. I see his body tense up. He turns back to me, his eyes as hard as

a stone. I sigh,

"Cody.."

"What is he talking about, Kaitlyn."

"Maybe he heard me singing? I had music on."

"Jake, take your breakfast to the livingroom."

He does as hes told and trots out to the living room with his food. Cody

keeps his eyes on me, and crosses his arms.

"Cut the shit. Who was here?"

"Cody."

"Kaitlyn."

"You're brother snuck through the window, okay? He tried to get me to leave

you and Cody."

"Yeah right."

"Seriously? After my past with your brother, you're not even gonna believe me?"

"Derek doesn't give a shit. Just go home Kaitlyn. Until you tell me the

truth."

"Cody, I am telling you the truth. Have I ever lied to you before?"

"How should I know?"

"What the hell has gotten into you?"

"Derek told me he saw you with a guy. Being close. Touching. Flirting."

"And you believed him? When I'm not with you and Jacob.. I'm with Jace and

Jennifer..."

"Sure you are. How should I know that?"

I sigh, "Call me when you actually believe me."

With that said, I grab my phone and kiss Jacob's cheek and walk out the

house, and get in my car and drive. I see Derek walking and he sees

me a smirks. I shake my head. I drive home and walk inside, and lock

the door. I go to my room, and tear my room apart looking for the old

friend I hadn't used in about a year. I can't believe I was going

back to this. With my mind clouded, I push my mattress up and see the

shiny metal reflect in the sunlight. I take a deep breath, and pick

it up.
