Mr.Foster smiles over at us and looks down at his sheet, "KaitlynOliver!"

Ismile and walk across the stage and wave at the crowd and laugh whenI hear my family cheer for me. I walk and shake my principals handand take my diploma and walk off the side of the stage and walk to myseat and sit, and shortly after me Matt sits beside me and smiles. Igrin at him, "We did it Matty!"

Hechuckles, and we high five, "Yes we did!"

Ilook over as Jennifer and Jace approach me and I smile and high fivethem as well, "We did it guys!"

Jacegrins and kisses Jen's cheek, "Yeah we did."

Wesit back and watch the rest of class 2015 get their diplomas,watching some kids doing silly stuff when they walk across the stage,one kid even did the moonwalk which was awesome! 10 minutes later,the class walks out to the court yard and the parents follow behindquickly. Matt stands on the table and counts down. Once he yells one,every single senior removed their caps and threw them up into theair. I smile and watch all the blue and white caps float in the airas if everything was in slow motion. I hear an ow behind me and turnand see Jace rubbing his head and I laugh.

"Yougot hit by a hat didn't you?"

Henods, "yeah.."

Ilaugh and Jenn kisses his cheek, "Stop complaining."

Ismile and I get my hat and walk out with them, and see my family. Irun over and my dad hugs me tightly and smiles.

"I'mso proud of you!"

Ismile, "Thanks daddy."

Hesteps aside and I grin, not realizing tears had fallen instantly.

"Kyle..."

Hesmile and opens his arms, "Come here, pretty lady."

Irush into his arms, and hug him tightly as I feel him bring his armsaround me in a bone crushing hug.

Ibet you guys are confused. Well, Kyle was my best friend and mybiggest crush growing up. He moved away when we were seven and Inever thought I'd see him again. I haven't talked to him or anythingsince he left. But, he never left my mind. Jennifer and Jace knew himas well, and they were the only ones to know about my crush on him.

Ismile, "What are you doing here?"

Hechuckles, "Watching my childhood best friend graduate, duh!"

Ilaugh and rest my head against his chest, "I missed you, doofus."

"Trustme, Kait. I missed you too."

Wego out front and I take pictures with Jace and Jennifer, Kyle and I,Kyle Jace and Jenn and I, and my family. I look over when I hear someone call my name. I smile and kneel down and hug him.

"Hey Jacob! How are you?"

"I'mgood. I missed you! Will you come home now?"

Ismile softly, "I wish I could sweetie. But, I can't.. You're fatherdoesn't want me around anymore."

"Yeshe does. He misses you."

Isigh, "I'll come visit a lot, I promise.. I may not be with yourfather anymore, but I'm gonna be a part of your life."

He sighs, "Promise?"

I nod and smile, "Promise, kiddo."

I kiss his head and pick him up, and point to where my dad has his camera. We smile and get a few pictures taken, then I see Cody appear from the crowds. I offer him a small smile and he walks up and hugs me gently.

"Congrats, Kaitlyn."

I smile and hug back, "Thanks."

He whispers, "Can we talk tonight? Meet me at the park around 8?"

I nod, "I'll be there."

"Great.I'll see you then." He takes Jakes hand and walks away.

I sigh and turn to my family and take more pictures with them.

All I can think about is what Cody wants to talk about tonight.

I went on vacation last week, and a lot of stuff has been happening the past few days, including me dating my best friend of 2 years, breaking up then getting back together and then breaking up again. I've been distracted. The next chapter will be Cody's POV and I promise it will be soon! I'll do my best to make it up to you!
