Kate Rory's P.O.V.

"So where are we exactly?" Leo wonders as we walk through the halls of the asylum.

"Well, I think the question is 'when.'" Sara replies.

I answer said question by grabbing the nearest newspaper. "January 16th, 1969. She sent us back in time."

"Wait, is that Nora's doctor?" Sara asks, looking at a woman that indeed looks like a younger version of the doctor.

"Apparently her taste in jewelry never changed." John says, slightly mocking her for it. "But yeah, this is all a bit weird. Can we get your, uh, team to come pick us up?"

Sara sighs in response. "We can't communicate across time without special equipment."

"You mean, we're stuck here?" Leo asks, to which Sara and I nod.

Constantine takes a sigaret out of his pocket. At the looks he's receiving from us, he just shrugs. "Well, we wouldn't wanna stand out, now would we?"

His lighter doesn't work though. "Bollocks."

Then my eye lands on a picture on the wall that I also saw in 2018. "Look, they still have the same paintings on the walls."

Sara catches onto my thoughts immedietly. "That's how we send a message."

I nod. "The picture of the virgin Mary that fell off the wall when Nora was possessed would still be hanging now in 1969. If we write the message on the back of the painting, then the Legends can find it in 2017."

"Sure, as long as no one redecorates for the next 50 years." Leo replies. "Fingers crossed."

---

Leo looks around the corner. "Clear."

We all continue walking towards our destination, me holding Sara's hand to somewhat calm my growing worry.

It only grows more though when Sara stops all of a sudden and squeezes my hand like crazy.

"Are you all right, baby?" I ask at the fear in her eyes.

"I'm fine." She replies, grip not lossening the slightest. "Come on. We're almost at room 237."

We follow her until she all of a sudden lets go. She starts walking so quick we have trouble keeping up with her. I try to anyway, my own anxiety rising like crazy.

"Nora?" I hear her whisper. "Nora? Is that you?"

All of a sudden, she leans against the wall. To then jump away in fear and shrink in on herself against the other wall.

"Sara!" I yell, crouching down in front of her, not caring about being found anymore. "What is it?"

At first she's looking at me like she doesn't even know who I am, the sight slowly breaking my heart.

But it's nothing compared to what happens when she does recognizes me all of a sudden. She launches herself at me and clings to me like her life depends on it.

I do the same, feeling like it actually does.

"It's Mallus." She whispers, loud enough for Constantine to hear it apparently.

"Well, I told you there'd be repercussions for going to the dark side." He tells us, clearly not too bothered by Sara's fear. "It leaves a trace. Now that he's sniffed you out, he'll wanna use you, too. You can't let him break you."

"We gotta get out of here." I tell the boys.

"Guard." Lenny warns. "The painting. I'll put a message behind it."
