You stood in front of the full length mirror brushing a crease out of your dress. White wasn't your colour but you knew your dad would haunt you if you didn't wear white on your wedding day.

It felt weird not having your family round for your special day, or friends really. You see your parents died when you was young and your only friends cuts contact with you after you moved to America to be with him. They stated you could do better like a lawyer or a doctor not private investigator. Trust me it was easier than saying he was an exorcist.

You wasn't one for tradition but John insisted saying you only get to do this the first time once. Plus he felt bad about not being able to enter a church. The dress swept across the floor as your paced up and down nervous. Playing with the neckline, worried your was showing too much cleavage or in johns case not enough.

It wasn't like you knew anyone there apart from Chas pulling father of the bride and best man duties. There was a knock at your hotel room door, oh thank god you thought. You was going crazy with your own thoughts. "It's open" you shouted picking up your bouquet of (f/c) (f/flower). But the face you was faced with wasn't the one you expected.

"John! It's bad luck" you shouted turning around as fast as you could. " I think I'm the definition of bad luck luv" he chuckled placing his hands on your waist. Empesized by the corset dress. "Where's Chas? " you questioned looking down at your (f/c) shoes poking out from under your dress. "Ah about that, change of plan. I wanted us to walk down together" he explained, placing his chin on your shoulder.

You smiled at his request "I'd like that" you confirmed, turning around to pull him In to a kiss. "Is, is that?" He asked finally seeing the front of dress. "Yes, it's your mum's. Well a close replica. She looked so beautiful in that photo you showed me" you explained seeing the tears form in johns eyes. You wasn't expecting him to cry or even recognise the dress.

Honestly you didn't want to go dress shopping. You had no one to go with you apart from Chas and well let's be honest you'd still be looking if you did. When ever John showed you the photo of his mother you wish you could of met her and this was the closest thing to it.

The ceremony was short and sweet which was perfect. Johns suit jacket was driving him up the wall but you had threatened him if her turned up in that trench coat. You rested your head on johns shoulder. "So I get the dress being new, you borrowed the tiara from the house and it has a sapphire in it. But what's old?" Chas asked looking at the pair in the rear view mirror.

He was amazed John was behaving himself and also took a mental note to find the furthest room from yours back home. "John" you smirked, "You cheeky mare" John gasped peppering your neck with kisses, making you giggle. " she's not wrong tho" Chas chimed in trying to control his laughter at johns expense.

You wasn't expecting anything when you got home so you was surprised when you saw a big "just married" banner above the door. Everything sinking in your mind and into place "shall we Mrs Constantine?" John asked with a smirk on his face. "We shall Mr Constantine" you replied in a small scream as he picked you up. Carrying you into your home, together. With Chas...
