Jack Skellington made it to the gates of Haunted Mansion. The Gracey Manor.

The Pumpkin King just observed the big haunted mansion. It hasn't changed since the last time he discovered it. Jack did not want to go back to Halloween Town. The Pumpkin King bangs at the gates three times. Hoping that some spirit heard it.

Jack waited it. And then, the gates of Gracey Manor decided to open itself. The Pumpkin King was glad of that.

Jack approaches the haunted mansion steadily. He do recall the ghosts having an never-ending party. Playing the 'Grim Grinning Ghost' music. Must be popular for someplace haunted. The Pumpkin King sees it all. The tombstones with roses on every grave. The raven caws once or twice from each bird. Either a warning of the bad omen. Or begging the visitor to turn back. Jack kept going. The phantom chitter and chatter among about amazing stories. The stories turned out timeless. The Pumpkin King got to the front door. Jack attempts to go knocking. He done it four times.

In the seance room, Madame Leota fears the worst had occurred. Ruby and Dom do not understand. The gypsy in the crystal ball exclaims. "He has done it! Head to the door now!" They wanted to know why. Madame Leota lastly urged. "You must see for yourself! The Pumpkin King has returned!"

Ruby and Dom stared at each other in a distraught. They both hurried off.

Jack waits more than a minute. He was going to try to knock again.

Somehow, the front door opens itself.

The Pumpkin King grinned. Then, Jack became mystified by looking at familiar servants. Ruby and Dom act gloomily.

The maid speaks. "You can't stay for a night, Jack."

The Pumpkin King objects. "I didn't come here to ask for your hospitality."

Dom guesses. "You've been summoned here for a reason. The gypsy was right."

Jack Skellington wants to inquiries them. "Ruby, Dom...How is Madame Leota? I need to speak to her-"

The conversation got interrupted by one phantom.

"All in good time, Jack Skellington."

The voice spoke. They three looked who said that. All question marks.

Down in the dark room. The thunder went flashing. A beam of light from the windows revealed the man. He was walking straight forwards. His hair was pearlescent white. It was brushed backway. The lighting flashed again. His outfit was a black dapper style. He looked like a billion bucks. The man halts. He was less than five feet away of the pumpkin king. Ruby and Dom moved away. Jack do not know what to make of him. The Pumpkin King looked stern. The pearl-haired man opens his mouth.

"Salutations are in order, Mr. Skellington. Allow me to introduce myself." He bowed, spoke his name.

"I am Mephistopheles." He stands up straight.

What gave Jack away is the spirit's voice from the gallery room. The Pumpkin King pretended that he does not know.

"Mephistopheles?"

He clarifies. "If pronouncing my name is tough for you. Just call me Mr. M."

Jack go on. Fingering his four bony fingers for guesses. "Hmm. What will the M stands for, sir? Mystery? Magicman? Morhpher? Murphy?"

Mr. M laughs mockingly at the pumpkin king. Ruby and Dom just watched in a stun.

He clears his throat. "You have a sense of humor, Mr. Skellington." Mr. M added, putting Jack on an invite. "Well it's not your first time visiting Gracey Manor here, hmm? Of course I would love to make an acceptation for you to come in to celebrate."

The Pumpkin King was getting unexpected at first. Then, Jack had to be aware. "On what special occasion exactly?"

Mr. M pointed out. "Why you'd be an honored guest for your success of a Halloween celebration in fact."

The Pumpkin King made an impish expression (Mr. M did not know his scheme). And then, Jack made a final decision. Still pretending to play enthusiastic. "Very well, Mr. M. I'm not busy back at Halloween Town in the time being. I only have 364 days until the next one."

Mr. M was delighted. "Ah excellent suggestion, Mr. Skellington." He added, gesturing the two servants. "Ruby and Dom will fix you up for the gathering." He walks away further than 10 feet away from Jack. Mr. M uttered. "Do not dawdle while you spend here in the haunted mansion...for now..."

He disappears after another thunder flashes thru the area. Mr. M laughs in a sinister state.

The Pumpkin King was in for more than just an expectation to return.
