She took it well.

Oh my, I was so dead when they hinted her. I thought I would die. But she smiled her way through it, and I survived.

The bell rings and we walk to the cafetaria, hand in hand again. We should pay attention Jack doesn't catch us, he would kill me. But his class is going to Paris this week, and we're going next week, so I guess we're fine for a bit.

We walk in the cafetaria, but halfway to our table, she lets go. I immediately miss her hand and turn around. She smiles at me, and it calms me a bit. Okay, she won't do a smiling dump.

"Dane?" she starts, and I smile at her. I never smile, but in her company, I just have to. "I kinda want to read and sit alone a bit. Are you okay with that?" she asks and I smile wider. "Of course I am, Willow. And if you're done, come sit with us again," I say and she nods, smiling broadly.

I sit down and watch her sitting down at a table, two from us. I keep watching, she's smiling as she read and I smile too. I rest my head in my arms, still looking at her. "You're a sick stalker," Noah chuckles and I glare at him, looking away from Willow for one second.

And of course, Delilah managed her way to Willow in that second. I can hear what she's saying, it's not that far. "So, nerd, heard you kissed with Dane? That he's holding hands with you? Too bad if you think he actually cares about you, because we fucked last night."

My blood boils. That bitch. Willow doesn't believe her, does she?

No, she doesn't. She giggles and turns around in her chair, looking up at Delilah and her friends. They narrow their eyes at her. "You know, D. I think you didn't fuck him. I think he does care about me. I think he was with me the whole night, and that you're jealous of me."

I smirk. She sure got some confidence, that girl. My girl.

I look at all my friends, proud of her, but they're focused on the scene and look... scared? I quickly look back.

"You're a nerd and a bitch, Willow. I don't know why everyone thinks you're innocent, because you're not. And I'll tell everyone, I'll show everyone."

I stand up, but before I reach the table, Delilah pours her smoothie over Willow's head. She gasps and stands up, Delilah's just laughing. I push her aside and pick Willow up, walking out of the cafetaria.

She starts sobbing in my arms and hides her face in my neck. I don't care about the smoothie and soothingly rub her hair. "Shh, it's okay, Willow. You're okay. I'm proud of you."

Her teary eyes meet mine and I walk into the boys' locker room. "You're proud of what?" she asks confused. I set her down on a stool and she looks up at me. "Proud you stood up against her. You did really good, denying that fucking-thing," I grin and walk to my locker.

"Really?" She pushes her brows together in confusion. I rumble in my locker and find a new shirt. I give it to her and she smiles. "Thanks. Are there showers here by any chance?"
