Part 8: Forgiveness And Giggles

Barry's POV

Later after we get home from Star Labs Lisa is hanging out with Nora and Mick and Lenny are doing something. Nora told me why she was pissed off at me and it hurt. I am in my room and grab my phone and call Caitlin. "Hello?" She answers. "Hey Caitlin." I say. "Hey Barry. I know this is probably odd but the whole reason I wanted to call you was because I wanted to apologize and explain. When they threw you in that cell I fought tooth and nail until they threatened to restrain you to the med bay bed and leave someone to continuously pump a sedative into your system to keep you out of it so you couldn't escape. and I couldn't let that happen. You are my best friend. They forced me to do this and wouldn't let me come get you. I fought so many times. But then when Joe was took on their little mission I panicked and worried and focused on him. I never meant to forget you. And I hate myself for that. I am so sorry. I was the only other one with access to everything down there. They had access to some but very little. I am so so sorry." She says. "I know this will be hard to forgive. But I am willing to try because by your voice and how you acted in Star Labs I know you didn't mean for any of it to happen. And with you explaining it makes more sense." I say. "Meet me at the little south side dive bar we went to that one day?" She asks. "Of course Caity." I say. "You are one of the only people I let call me that." She says chuckling. We hang up and I throw on some skinny jeans and a loose hoodie. I grab my lanyard, wallet, phone, earphones, and my apple watch and walk downstairs and slip on my converse. "Where are you going tonight?" They all ask in unison. "None of your concern. Lenny I am turning back on my location so that just in case I do get drunk you can actually find me because I suck at giving directions when I am drunk." I say. I head out and get down there and see her at the bar. "Barry!" She says grinning. I chuckle when she barrels into me giving me a ginormous hug. "I missed you to Caity." I say. 

Len's POV

*5 hours later.*

It is like 2 am and I am about asleep when my phone rings. I only pick it up because I know Scarlet said he would call if he was dog dead drunk. "hello?" I say. "Lenny!" Barry exclaims. "Who is that!" A woman yells. "Caity it's Lenny! My boyfriend dummy!" He says. I can't help but chuckle. "Where are you Bartholomew." I say. "South Side Dive bar!" He exclaims. "There is 3 of those babe. be more specific." I say laughing. He giggles. "Downtown." He says. I head out and finally manage to get there. I called Cisco to come pick up Caitlin knowing she was here. I walk in and see the two giggling at the bar. Some man is approaching Barry and grabs his arm and I shove him off. "Watch it dumbass. I'm not afraid to kill you. I have an entire list of people waiting. I don't need to add you to it do I?" I say. He scurries off. Barry leans onto me when i touch him. I chuckle. Cisco walks in and laughs at the sight. With Barry pretty much on top of me and Caitlin downing a drink. He walks over. "Okay Cait. You are coming home with me." He says. She huffs. "No." She says crossing her arms. "What do you mean 'no' Caitlin?" Cisco says. "i lost him once I am not letting go again." She grumbles but I see tears in her eyes. Oh god. Lisa, and Mick may kill me but I am not going to let her cry over losing Barry. "Bring her back to the safe house." I say. He goes out to his car with her. I climb onto my bike and Barry wraps his arms around my waist from behind me. "Hold on alright bubs?" I say. "Kay." He mumbles. By the time we get back to the safe house everyone is upstairs in bed and Caitlin and Barry are on the couch giggling about something. "So how did those two hit it back off?" Cisco asks. "Heck if I know. He has been distant and won't tell me anything." I say. He chuckles. After me and him taking care of both of the drunk idiots he takes her to bed. I grab Barry. They had both crashed on the couch at around 4. I head upstairs with him and lay him down in bed after getting him changed and I cover him up. I lay down beside him. He hasn't been wanting to cuddle much so to say I am shocked when he curls into my side is an understatement. He rests his head on my chest and I kiss the top of his head. "Night Lenny. I love you." He says. "I love you to Scarlet." I say with a slight smile.
