Part 16: Unplanned Surprise

Harry's POV

As we are all in Star Labs after Allen disappeared yesterday he walks in looking sluggish. "Dude I called you three times last night for a fire and you never picked up! We had to send Jesse and Wally out which did not end well!" Cisco exclaims. "Ramon, shut up. Everyone needs a break. I'm sure Allen used the doped up melatonin Snow gave him and caught up on sleep last night. Even though he is the Flash he deserves a break. And Jesse and Wally are old enough to take care of themselves. I understand he has a duty to this city but he also has a duty to himself to make sure he takes care of himself. Something we never gave him the chance to do back then. And I am trying to change. But we do not slander him anymore when he doesn't answer. For all we know he could have been out with Snart for the night." I say. "Harry is right for the most part dude. I did take last night to myself but you got to realize something. I am going to be blunt. For the next nine months, well technically eight, Jesse, Wally, you, and Frost will have to deal with the city. I can help from the sidelines but other than that, I am not risking my child's or my own health at running out and saving people. While this was a tough decision, I am hanging up the suit for a couple months." He says. I smile. Soon there will be a mini Allen running around. "Wait your pregnant?!" Iris screams in excitement. She hugs Allen tightly. "Iris! He is turning blue! He needs to breathe!" Joe yells laughing. After a few minutes we are all doing our own thing. "So Allen. Was this kid planned or unexpected." I say. "The kid was more of an unplanned surprise. I am not going to call it a mistake because I know being called a mistake hurts because I was when I was a child. But it was a mistake but we are gonna go with an unplanned surprise." He says. Caitlin snorts. "You are-" She goes to say but he cuts her off. "Yes Caitlin. I am going through ARGUS for this pregnancy. You have your MD but I don't trust you. ARGUS has dealt with this before so I trust them more. No offense." He says. "None taken. I was going to force you to go through them." She says chuckling. "Wait you can't have alcohol for the next 9 months." Cisco says. "Who says? I did with Lizzy and she turned out perfectly fine. Leukemia is like a genetic thing in the Smythe side. I had it when I was little. And she had nothing else wrong with her. Now like I ain't going to go out and get dog dead drunk but I can and will drink." Allen says. I chuckle. "Jesse's mother did when she was carrying Jesse and Jesse turned out fine." I say. It just clicks in my mind. "Does Snart know?" I ask. "No. No he doesn't. I just found out this morning when I went to ARGUS." He says. "Bloodwork or ultrasound?" Snow says. "Bloodwork. I know what you are thinking. I don't know that yet. but I will in the next day or so." He responds. Nora runs in and loses her balance but Allen catches her. "Woah there kid. I really got to teach you how to stop properly." He says. "Well maybe you could have fixed your mistakes in the future and not now." She grumbles and he winces. "You don't know why I did it Nora. Just drop the goddamn topic of that. Do you really think I wanted to do it?" He growls. Even I am shocked. I have never heard him snap at mini Allen let alone growl. "Well if you didn't than you wouldn't have!" She yells. "Just because I did does not mean I wanted to Cassandra! I did what I had to do!" He yells. He is becoming paler than normal. I walk over to where he is. I pull a chair, from the desk near him, to him. "Allen set down. You are going to pass out if you don't." I say. He cooperates. "Yeah right. A minute ago you said I don't know why you did it! It would have been your decision on doing to right now so tell me why you did it! Why did you put a speed dampening chip into me!" She yells. Nobody has noticed the other teams come in here other than me. "Because right now speedsters are trying to be outlawed Nora! if they manage to pass this law that means that me, Wally, Jesse, any child I have that gains my speed, or you could all be killed! They are trying to pass it because of all of the evil speedsters terrorizing the city and everywhere else! I am trying to fight it off in court but it isn't working how I need it to! And if it doesn't it will soon be outed to the world that Barry Allen is the flash and that Barry Allen is really Sebastian Smythe! But low and behold guess who that ties back to! Every single person I know and love! So if any criminal who hates me wants to get revenge, they can! They can come after everyone I know and love! And what do I fight for! I fight for my goddamn family Cassandra! So yeah kid! I put a speed dampening chip in you so that I could protect you at all costs! But apparently you don't want to survive so go off and be the little bratty bitch you have been the entire time you have been here because I am done! I am done listening to you bitch to me about 'mistakes' I made! I know damn well what I did and I am okay with that decision! I am done trying to help fight for you and protect you when you won't even give me the chance! According to your father I'm a fuck up! According to you all I do it make mistakes! And you both wonder why I think everyone would be better off without me!" Allen yells standing up and walking out, pushing past everyone.
