Barry's POV
As I open the letter there is a check inside. "Oh she didn't..." I say as a few tears fill my eyes. It's a check worth 900 grand. "She didn't have to do that." I say opening the letter inside of it.
Dear Sebastian Smythe,
We know this is years after your years here at Dalton but I wanted to follow through on my promise. That 900 grand is for all of the money you, not your family, but you put towards this school to help it be at it's best for all of these years. And we wanted to return it. Because that 700 grand you gave us helped us rebuild the entire main school building and help update so many of the other buildings all across campus. Like we updated all of the dormitories. And we wanted to say thank you. We heard about your daughter and Hunter. I am so so sorry Sebastian. Our sincerest apologies go out to you at this time. We know this was a little late but we didn't hear until this until 2 weeks ago when you were brought up in the topic by a couple of students. But on the other hand since all of the old Warblers and New Directions live in Central City now they are having a reunion and then here soon they are having some showcases. We wanted to invite you. But they told me to reach out to you for them because they didn't know where you were. Please come, *Lists address* is where it will be held.
Sincerely,
Dalton Academy.
I smile a little. "So I just got a check for 900 grand. Dalton is repaying all of the money that I put forth to help the school." I say shaking my head. Of course they would. I grab my phone and reload my text app. Hundreds of messages load. Damn. I go to the group chat and scroll through all of them and reply to multiple of the messages. Everyone else is talking about random things. Then my phone rings. Jeff. I answer grinning. "Hi dumbass." I say getting up and walking out back. "Bazzy!!!!" he yells. I hear words being scattered through the room. I run and grab my laptop and we start up a video chat. "So you finally answer after years of ghosting us! the last time we saw you was at hunt's funeral than you just up and disappeared again!" Jeff yells. I wince at the memories. "Sorry. Rough topic. Totally my bad." He says. We all catch up and Iris Cecile walks out with a cup of homemade lemonade in her hand. "I made it fresh today. I know you love it." She says smiling. "Of course I love it. I'm obsessed." I say. She sets down beside me after I motion for her to. "Everyone meet my adopted mother, Cecile. Cecile meet the idiots I call my family." I say introducing them all one by one. She smiles. "At least you had friends from school." She says. "Cecile back in our day you would be the sweet popular girl who nobody would mess with because she always had the overprotective friends. I don't know about when you were in school though. And I didn't have but maybe 5 friends at tops growing up then I hit it off in high school." I say. She chuckles and heads back inside.
Cecile's POV
I am happy knowing he has people behind him. Joe looks at me and I smile. "Those kids he is friends with seem to be really sweet." I say. Joe sighs in relief.
