Mattheo Riddle - Apologies (Part two to Insecurities)

The first following what Mattheo did had been quite lonely. Mattheo gave you your space but you couldn't help acknowledge the empty feeling in your heart. The almost puppy eyes he gave you during class, drove you crazy. Mattheo needed to work on himself and you knew that, that's why you didn't go crawling into his arms soon after the events. But it was painful being away from him.

The second week was better, there was always that reassurance that Mattheo was taking your advice. You started to notice little flowers and candies by your dorm at the end of the day, sometimes with little notes. It was obvious it was Mattheo, and it made you smile every time.

You're approaching your dorm at the end of the second week without Mattheo being constantly around you. And, as usual, there's a little note at your door. You pick it up unfolding the crumpling page, 

"Hi, darling, 

I love you very much, and I miss you... you're smile, why do I write like that? Wait, why did I write that, oops. Anyways darling, when you're ready, I'll be waiting, I've been better, I promise. 

Love you with all my heart.

-M" 

You giggle at the silliness in the letter, you love that side of him. You go inside your dorm, shutting the door behind you and plopping onto the bed, you think you're ready. You sigh and stand back up, walking back out of the door and leaving the note on your desk.

You go to Mattheo's dorm and place a firm knock on the door. He opens soon after and looks surprised to see you. "Y/n?" he speaks,

"I'll forgive you," you say before falling into his arms. There's nothing that's felt better than this hug, you've craved it. The smell of his cologne hitting your nose, the warmth of his body, all so familiar and missed. "Really?" he says with slight excitement and you nod into his shoulder. 

He pulls from the hug and places a long, passionate kiss on your lips.
