He raised his hand and knocked two knuckles against the window, slightly startling the detective sitting inside.
Yoongi glared at him and locked the doors.
Namjoon huffed. "I know you can hear me, so shut up and listen. I don't need you, but you definitely need me."
"Like hell I need you." Yoongi snorted.
"You're off the case," Namjoon reminded him. "Which means your boss and Jungkook won't be giving you any updates or information. Meanwhile, Changwoo promised to keep me updated, which means I'll continually be getting information. Information you want."
"Who says I want it?"
"I'm willing to team up with you and share everything they tell me, on a few conditions."
"I don't negotiate with killers." Yoongi hissed.
"Will you at least hear me out?" Namjoon rolled his eyes. "I could be relaxing at home right now, talking with a lawyer about all the money I'm gunna get if I sue the force for all the rules you broke, but instead I'm going to put all that aside and help you. The least you could do is listen to the mutually beneficial proposal I have."
Yoongi glared for a few more moments, before unlocking the doors.
Namjoon walked around to the passenger side of the car and climbed in.
"I swear, if this is some trick to get Changwoo to fire me if he sees us being close, I will kill you and make sure your family never finds the body." Yoongi vowed.
"Looking forward to working with you too." Namjoon rolled his eyes as he slid his seatbelt on. "Come on, let's get out of here before someone sees. Head to my dorm, I need to stop there quick."
"First things first, whore. You don't ever tell me what to do, got it? We aren't a team, this is a dictatorship. If you won't accept that then get out, walk home and call your lawyer." Yoongi warned.
"I only said to drive so that your boss doesn't see us together and fire your ass, but if you would rather sit here in spite and risk getting in trouble, go ahead." Namjoon shrugged.
Yoongi narrowed his eyes at him, before finally putting the car into drive. He peeled out of the lot and floored it down the road.
"The college is on 3rd street." Namjoon told him. "We can talk there. I'll change into my own clothes and give you your shirt back, so you can wear it."
Yoongi said nothing, eyes still narrowed as he glared down the road, driving with one hand.
Namjoon looked at him. "You know, saying thanks won't kill you."
"There's nothing to thank a worthless, murderous slut like you for." Yoongi growled.
"I could have gotten you fired back there, I chose not to. I could have caused a lot of trouble for your whole force based on your actions alone. I could have left you in the dark about the case." Namjoon pointed out. "I decided not to because despite how terrible you are of a person, I think you're a good detective, and I want my friend's deaths avenged. I didn't kill them- do you really think I would be doing all this if I did?"
"Yes. To try to throw me off the trail."
"Do you really think a person would do all that terrible stuff just simply because they're a stripper?" Namjoon raised an eyebrow. "Serena and James were stabbed and poisoned- do you think I actually tried to kill my own friends twice? Just because I wear revealing outfits on a stage? Because men and women want to have a good time so they give me a few bucks after they've had a few drinks?"
