FLASHBACK

Mrs. Cortez' POV

Headline: LOPEZ-CORTEZ Siblings: Rachel Therese and Aza Catherine still under observation matapos ang car crash accident.

"Mr. and Mrs. Cortez, I am very sorry pero machine nalang talaga ang sumusuporta kay Therese"

"Doc ginawa niyo naman po lahat diba?" Anton was holding my hand

"Yes, Mr. Cortez. Masyadong malakas ang naging impact kay Therese at pati na rin kay Aza" Hinawakan ni Dra. Lapidez ang kamay ni Mom "Wag kayo mag-alala gagawin naming ang lahat para kay Aza. Magpakatatag po kayo"

I was sitting next to a mom who is crying so hard. I was alone with at that time and out of nowhere I held her hand. Ramdam ko ang sakit na nararamdaman niya ngayon. We both cried as hard as we can. There were no words pero ramdam mong nagkakaintindihan kayo. Nagtinginan kami bigla

"I'm Claudine" I said

"Therese" She smiled while wiping her tears

"Alam mo kapangalan mo ang anak ko" Napa-iyak kong sabi "Na-aksidente sila ng isa ko pang anak"

"Ako naman nandito dala ko anak ko, he badly needs a heart transplant pero wala pa kaming mahanap na donor " Paiyak niyang sabi. I felt bad for her and her son. I suddenly thought of giving her son Therese' heart. It was healthy.

"How old is he?"

"10" She said

"Can you wait for me here? May kakausapin lang ako na baka makatulong." I smiled

"Okay. Salamat"

I looked for Dra. Lapidez and Anton. I asked if we can talk privately

"We're losing Therese and still fighting for Aza to survive" Dra. Lapidez

"How is Therese' heart?" I asked

Tumingin sakin si Anton na parang nagulat sa tanong ko.

"Her heart is still beating with the machine's support"

"Is it possible for us to donate her heart?"

"What?! What do you mean hon?"

"I met this mom sa hallway kanina while I was crying. Her name was Therese too" I looked at Anton habang pinipigilan kong umiyak "She has a son that badly needs heart transplant and I feel like Therese would be so happy if we ever decided to give it to him. To live his life"

Hinawakan ni Anton ang kamay ko. He agreed. We called our parents to inform them with our decision and they cried saying that this would really make our dear Therese happy. So Anton pulled some strings to make the test happen and when we knew that his son and Therese are match. Hinanap ko siya.

"Therese"

"Claudine"

"How is your son?"

She looked so hopeless "We really need a heart that could match him, Claudine"

"That's why I'm here now" I smiled, oo alam kong mawawala na sakin si Therese pero mabubuhay ang puso niya.

"I'm losing my daughter today Therese. She can no longer survive pero alam mo malusog ang puso niya at gusto sana naming ibigay yun sa anak mo. We pulled some strings kaya alam ko na match sila."

She broke down and thanking me

AZA'S POV

Nakahiga na ko. Pagkatapos naming mag-usap ni Ezekiel ay pumasok na rin naman ako. Hawak ko ang picture ni Ate Therese

"I miss you, ate"

I hope nakikita mo yung mga nakikita ko ngayon dahil kung hindi dahil sayo wala rin naman akong paningin ngayon. I smiled. After the accident, my eyes got the serious injury na ikakabulag ko na dapat kaso ng i test ang cornea ni ate sakin ay nag-match kaya dahil sa kanya nakakakita parin ako ngayon. Up to her last breath she chooses me above all.

I hugged her favorite stuff toy "Good night, ate."
