It was the next morning and we were all at the breakfast table Gael, Devika, and Haizea had slept over. Avyanna on the other hand had gone to Seraphina's mansion to celebrate her engagement to the Viscount of Hal. My mother is currently in the dining room setting up plans for the wedding with Gael helping her. My dad and Haizea were talking about horse riding and what breed they loved the most. My brother luckily enough for me had arrived last night at midnight and he and Devika were having a competition on who could stuff the most pastries in their mouth.
" Those are truly wonderful designs, your grace," Gael complimented the designs my mother had chosen
" Thank you, It's good that you are helping me a plan you may be planning yours very soon," My mother said
" Wait what do you mean?" My brother said stopping to eat the pastries and looking at my mom
" Well last night," My mom said nudging Gael who was smiling," Gael and the prince were dancing all night long and talked for maybe even more. They even went for a walk together."
" With Jacqyues?" my brother asked again
" The last time I checked there is only one prince," Devika said sarcastically
" Well you must excuse me," My brother said leaving the table
" What has gotten into him," My dad said confused
Everyone finished their breakfast and Avyanna arrived at the end. My mother and Gael rushed out to go and meet her she had obviously come with her squad.
" I will be riding to Devikas fathers manor today. Would you ladies care to join me?" My dad asked us knowing damn well we were not gonna help with Avyannnas wedding plans
" Of course," Haizea said
" You guys better pack up because we shall be staying there for 4 days," my dad said leaving us
" Well, why are we sitting here let's go," I said rushing everyone out
Time Jump: To riding their horse in the Valley
" What do you think about your brother's outburst?" Haizea said
" It was weird," I said
" Do you think he maybe likes Gael?" Haizea asked
" Everyone knows he openly hates her. He maybe was upset that she will probably be staying longer because she is Avyannas friend," Devika said
" I still can not believe Avyanna is getting married," I said
" Who would have thought that it would be to the Viscount of Hal," Haizea said
" That's not the most surprising news though. It's the prince and Gael for me," Devika said
" And the way he talked about her, he literally called her his sun. Does he not know that the sun burns," I said mocking him
" Its sounds like someone is jealous," Haizea said laughing at me
" Are you jealous Des?" Devika said teasingly
" Not at all the man looks like a piece of chalk, I just do not want that bitch to be Queen it would be a nightmare especially with Avyanna and her little friends in her ear," I said
" Really Des you are something else," they said laughing at me
" Girls we might need to go on a gallop if we are going to get there before dinner," My dad said
So we galloped on. Gael as queen and Avyanna as Viscountess of Hal who would have thought, but something about it seemed off. Maybe if I knew that the tables were shifting and that things would not be the same very soon. The game had changed.
