I need you to come and get me
Agani stared at the silk white gown sprawled over her bed, courtesy of her father. She was exhausted after the longest day at her aunt's kitchen, not to mention the interviews she had been rigorously studying and preparing for, for a manager's role in any multinational company. At this point in time, anything would do, to keep her busy, sane, and financially secure.
She wanted to be ready for a fight she was about to pull between Mr. Shetty and herself. Honestly? She just wanted to set fire to anyone's eyes who'd eye her Little Dreams, but as much she wanted to, she could not. In her personal opinion, all she wanted was to barge into Mr. Shetty's office and tear every wall down, but that wouldn't stop him from buying her property now would it. Also, it would hamper Angaar's reputation as his personal manager. She had ideas, so many of them, to show Mr. Shetty his place, but she had to opt for agreeing with her best friend, who wanted a truce.
"Ask him to let us keep the property." She said curling Agani's hair while she glared at her through the mirror.
"-and, stop looking at me like that!" Aastha punched the back of her shoulder lightly.
"How about I ask him to keep his venal eyes away from what is mine?"
"Agani please don't screw this for us." Aastha pleaded through her eyes, making the blazing ones soften for a moment.
"This is NOT about you. This is about our babies." Aastha said curling the last piece of her best friend's hair before gathering all of them and pulling them back, accentuating Agani's gorgeous neckline.
"Get ready now. I'll go and see the kids."
Agani's eyes fell upon the gown one more time, contemplating whether or not she should wear it. Tonight, she had not one but two invitations for the same party, the royal affair held at the AmarVani mansion. One, from her brother's boss himself and the other, from her father.
"Dear Amma,
I would love to see you tonight and accompany my old crusty ass, of course dressed up like the princess that you are.
Love
Nanna."
The note that came with the dress, delivered to Little Dreams by her father's PA, made a thousand bugs crawling all over her skin hence she had decided to light the end of the note with a candle's flame, before blowing it, for it was not safe to keep a lit candle around in a household with five kids.
As much as she wanted to take the night off and sleep for eighty-four hours, she was not about to let go of this opportunity, where she could meet Mr. Shetty, the business tycoon, the magnate, the alpha male - she rolled her eyes coming up with such heavy words for a man she had begun to dislike with passion - in a casual setting and maybe, just maybe, stab his arm with a fork or scoop his eyes for even considering her, HER, Little Dreams.
She heaved out a loud, annoyed sigh, before getting up from her dressing chair and walking towards the dress she so did not want to get into.

"Damn!" Ved came into Amartya's room, waltzing. Amartya chose not to turn around, instead, he continued focusing on his diamond cufflinks.
"Ladies better be 'ware! Cause Amartya Surya Shetty, the heartthrob is here to rip your hearts open and drop your pant-"
"Ved!" Amartya glowered, turning around, almost snapping his head. Ved jumped away from his titanic brother, before being pummeled by him to death.
