And one day, everything had changed.

Agani had been on her toes all day - with Angaar having to leave for London soon, she had a lot on her plate and little time to chew. Needless to say- sis needed a break.

It was 2 in the morning as she let loose her brown tresses as she plopped on her bed, her head submerging into the soft white pillows. She closed her eyes as she drew in a few deep breaths, not long before sleep caught her off the guard.

Agani's weekly opened her eyes when she felt constrained to turn by two little arms around her torso. She lowered her chin as her head began to throb from being awoken amid a deep slumber. Her eyes met two uneven piggy tales of none other than little Ananya, whose soft snores could be heard in the dimly lit room. She smiled, pulling the girl up gently and tucking her closer to herself, watching relief evident on the little one's face.

"Akka..." Angaar's voice startled Agani as she gesticulated him to shush. He walked over to her side of the queen-sized bed making his sister turn to him.

"Have you seen the time?" Agani whispered, making Angaar lower his eyes.

"Amartya sir has a lot of things to take care of."

"Sounds like your Amartya sir's problem." Her face glowered as Angaar threw his head back frustratingly before pulling it back.

"Akka."

"Angaar. You're taking too much stress on yourself."

"No! No. I am fine. Amartya Sir always makes sure that I am fine. To be honest, I feel sorry for him. That man- "

"Angaar. Have you had your dinner?"

"Yeah..."

"Okay. Then sleep now. It's too late."

Angaar could sense the tension in his sister's heart following the late nights and the upcoming trip abroad. He nodded, before getting up slowly, and turning once again to see his sister turn to her side and snuggle closer to Ananya. He missed their fights, their arguments, it seemed like spending time with his own sister sounded like a luxurious experience to him. He shut the door quietly behind him making a resolution of his own in his head. Since it was a Sunday, he promised to help his sister with her tiffin service and then spend time with her and the kids at the orphanage. Maybe he would order dinner for all of them, or maybe he would take them out because why not. He smiled, shutting his bedroom door behind him, thinking how his salary and not to mention the bonus was helping him loosen the white knuckle grip on life - allowing himself to fancy desires he wanted to live every day - with his sister and the children of Little Dreams.

-"How old are you?" Agani looked up from her wooden desk placed on the left corner of the hall.

-" Foooorrtyyyy, thirty-eight."

-" What are your qualifications?"

-" Well, I am a neurosurgeon."

-" And what kind of a job position are you looking for?"

-"Um, I don't know. Whatever that is available."

-"Oka-"

-" No wait! I think I can cook. Yeah."

-" Alright. Just to be clear, I won't be able to pay-"

-" Oh that's just fine. I want to be here for the kids."

-" Which brings me to the question-"

-" Yeah!"
