Home is not these four walls, home is you.
Amartya looked at the sleeping figure of Sia, tucked neatly under the seat belt he was about to unlock. He had no qualms about the thing he did, but without letting Snow know, he was doubtful about the way she'd react. He opened his side of the car door before jogging up to the passenger side, afraid that Sia might get scared to find no one around her if she woke up in those ten seconds. He garnered the kid in his arms as he shut the door with his foot, before turning around and jostling against a female figure.
"Thank God Raghav! You are here-"
"Hi, Astha-" He said lowly, patting Sia's head as she turned to the crook of his neck.
"Look, there is a medical emergency and I need to run to the hospital-" She panted amid her words as she stuffed some papers in her bag.
"Do you want me to drop you-" Amartya stared at the sorry condition of the documents she had just crushed and into her tote bag, before looking up with his offer to help.
"No! Snow's idiotic boss hasn't shown up for this interview and she doesn't know till how long will she need to wait. I needed someone to look after the kids-"
But I need to be home! My Amma is going to lose her mind. He wanted to say.
"Sure, no problem. I'll be with the kids."
"Thank you!" She hollered as she swung her bag upon her shoulder before rushing past the iron gates.
The hall was eerily shushed for a place where there lived four kids. Sia was still asleep so the only obvious thought to him was to find the kid's room and lay her in her bed.
"No Sidharth Anna! Two plus two and two into two are the same things!"
"Ananya, just because the answer to both of those equations is four, doesn't mean the operations are the same."
"Keep talking with those big words and she will never get past the first grade."
Amartya smiled at the scene in front of him, which he could only take a partial look at through the half-opened door. Sidharth sighed keeping down the piece of chalk in his hand as Varun turned to Ananya, who looked very close from crying her eyes out.
"Ana, I am going, to be honest, you suck at maths."
"Says who?" Amartya walked in at the scene because personally, he disagreed with the conclusion Varun arrived at.
"Prince!" Ananya squealed as she scrambled up to her feet, before deciding otherwise of her decision to go run to the handsome prince standing in front of her.
The boys stared at him in disbelief as he had literally appeared out of thin air, but nobody seemed to mind. Amartya laid Sia on the bed covering her with the blanket before he turned to the classroom part of the room, a few steps away from the bed.
"Okay, so what are we studying?" He said as he lowered his majestic frame in front of the blackboard, causing mixed reactions from the kids. Siddharth passed a look to Varun as he then passed one to Ananya who was already watching her prince as if he had just walked out of a Disney movie.
Ananya was just like Sia in regards to how they both felt about Amartya, it was just that Ananya was not very explicit in showing her emotions when it came to what Amartya made her feel. She, just like the rest of the kids, had never seen someone so tall and not to mention, so handsome.
"Uh, we, we were helping Ananya with maths." Said Varun.
"Is it okay if I join your class?" Asked Amartya, gesturing to Ananya to come to sit in his lap. Ananya fluttered her lashes down as her cheeks turned red before she finally walked from behind Varun and towards Amartya.
