Part 5. The Winter Soldier

"Eyes here" Sitwell started his speech about hunting down captain America to a room full of top S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, a room which included Sharon Carter

"Whatever your op, bury it" Sitwell continued
"This is level one, Contact DOT" he said
"All traffic lights in the district go red, shut all runways about BWI, IAD and Reagan" he said

The room was dead silent as he spoke

"All security cameras in the city go through this monitor right here, scan all open sources. Phones, computers, PDAs. Whatever." He said
"If someone tweets about this guy, I want to know about it" Sitwell said and it bothered Sharon so much that she spoke up

"With all due respect, if S.H.I.E.L.D. is conducting a manhunt for captain America we deserve to know why" Sharon said

"Because" a familiar voice sounded
"He lied to us" Pierce stepped out

"Captain Rogers had information regarding the death of Director Fury and he refused to share it" Pierce said

"As hard this may seem to accept" Pierce said
"Captain America is a fugitive, from S.H.I.E.L.D." he said

Steve was walking through the hospital fury died in go retrieve the USB stick that he had put in the vending machine earlier

In full black, a big hoodie and sunglasses he was nearly unrecognizable as he made his way through the hospital wings

He got to the vending machine and found the spot where he had put the USB drive in empty

While his heartbeat raised, a familiar silhouette appeared behind him in the reflection of the vending machine

It was Jack, casually looking at Steve as if he knew everything that was going on

Which he probably did

This angered Steve and so after making sure nobody was near, Steve pulled jack by the collar and pushed him into a room where nobody would see them

"Where is it?" Steve asked Jack aggressively

"Safe" jack replied

"Do better!" Steve said while you could see the tension in his neck

"Where did you get it?" Jack asked

"Why would I tell you?" Steve asked with his face intimidatingly close to Jacks

Jack went silent and his eyes changed into having a golden glow for a second as he was reading Steve's mind

"Fury gave it to you, but why?" Jack asked with a frown after his eyes changed back to normal

"Stop reading my mind." Steve said
"What's on it?" Steve asked with a nod

"I don't know?" Jack said

"Stop lying!" Steve said in frustration squeezing Jacks arms

"I'm not" jack said pushing Steve's hands off

"I bet you know Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?"he asked Jack and Jack didn't say anything

"I'm not gonna ask you again!" Steve hissed at jack

"I know who killed fury" Jack said and Steve finally stepped back an inch and looked Jack in the eyes with visible realization going on

Steve nodded at him as a sign for Jack to tell everything

"Most of the intelligence community does not believe he exists, the ones that do, call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last 50 years"
