Part 8. The Price Of Feeedom

Sam, Natasha, Steve and Jack were now sitting in a the back of a van with thick metal handcuffs on and two strike guards to make sure they behaved

Jack was wide awake again even after the tranquilizers and the other three fugitives made sure he was caught up with what happened

"I wasn't even aware" I said
"Something inside me snapped" jack said

"If it wasn't so scary, I'd be impressed" Sam said As Steve was having a moment of sadness

Jack had this cap onto his head that stopped him from accessing some parts of his brain so he couldn't use his powers, but he was smart enough to recognize that this was hard on Steve Without the use of his powers

"You okay?" Jack asked running his feet against the super soldiers ankle

"He looked right at me like he didn't even know me" Steve said

"How is that even possible? It was like 70 years ago" Sam asked

"Zola"  Steve said
"Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43, Zola experimented on them. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall" Steve said referring to when his friend fell off the train into a canyon

"They must have found him.."

"None of that is your fault Steve" Natasha said

"Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky" Steve said before a silent moment came

"We need to get a doctor in here" Sam told the guards referring to Natasha's shot wound

"If we don't put pressure on that wound she's gonna bleed out in this truck right here" Sam said

One of the guards closest to Sam flexed their electric weapon in his face as a threat And Sam backed off

The guard then stabbed the other guard with the same weapon and electrocuted him, making him pass out and making the 4 fugitives look at her in confusion

The guard took her headpiece off and it was agent Hill coming to save them

"Ah that thing was squeezing my brain" agent hill said as she took it off before fixing her hair

"Don't get me started" jack said referring to his headpiece

"Yeah let me help you out of that" she said

"And who's this guy?" She asked about Sam

...

The trucks drove on to a quiet place where the media couldn't see them and they stopped their cars

"4 holes, start digging" Rumlow said as he and his team got out of the trucks

They walked towards the car in the middle where they had put Sam, Natasha, Steve and Jack and opened the doors with their guns ready only to find a passed out guard and a whole in the bottom of the truck

Rumlow sighed and then slammed the door in frustration while our heroes were taken to an underground safehouse by agent hill

"GSW she's lost at least a pint" agent hill yelled at a doctor

"Bring her to me" he yelled back
