Haru let out a long, tired sigh as he flopped onto his bed. His body ached, his mind tired. He saw the bedroom door creaking open.

"Hey," Katara crept over to him and sat lightly at the end of the bed. "Hard day, huh?"

"Yeah, these long work hours have been tough. But it'll all be worth it once I see that beautiful baby of ours." He managed a tired smile.

Katara smiled too, smoothing her hands over her stomach to reveal an ever growing bump. "But darling, you don't have to work so hard. We'll manage-"

"Katara, please. I want to do this. Really. We'll need the money with another mouth to feed. Besides, I want my children to have the best life I can give them."

The waterbender lay herself next to him on the bed. "Only two more months," she grinned.

He kissed her lightly on the head, his arm automatically repositioning so she could lie on his chest.

"How did I get so lucky to be with a woman like you?" He said, placing his own hands on her stomach. "Oh!"

Katara laughed. "You felt it, huh?"

"Y-yeah! The baby, it kicked!"

"It's been happening more and more lately."

"Wow. I can't believe it... we're gonna be parents," Haru said quietly. "You know, we haven't decided on a name yet,"

"I know. But I've been thinking, if it's a boy, how about 'Tyro' after your father?"

"I like it," Haru smiled. "And if it's a girl, how about 'Kya' after your mother?"

"That sounds perfect."

And with that, the conversation ceased, allowing Haru to let his eyes drift shut. Katara carefully lifted herself off of him and placed a water tribe blanket over his body. She then slid under the covers herself, and, feeling his body heat against her, smiled herself to sleep.
