"Hey guys!" Laura said walking over to us.
"hey Laura!" Michael said getting up giving her a hug.
She sat down in between Calum and Michael.
"So who are you?" Laura asked.
"I'm Calum, Michaels friend." he said.
"That's cool! And where are you from?"
She was flirting with my boyfriend.
"Sydney."
"Cool!"
I reached out and grabbed Calum's hand. He looked and me and made a funny face and I laughed.
"Oh are you guys dating?"
"Yeah"
She turned to Luke and started flirting with him too but then realized that Myra and him were dating so she stopped flirting with everyone.
"Ashton where's your girlfriend at?" Laura asked.
"Oh um... I don't uh have a girlfriend." He said looking away towards the ocean.
"Have you had a girlfriend recently"
He looked at Calum then at me and then down at his shoes.
"Uh-yeah"
"Who was it?"
"Um-it was um Cassie"
"Oh....." Laura said but after that she stayed quiet.
It was really awkward and silent for about 5 minutes when Luke popped up from his seat.
"You guys wanna go for a walk?"
"Sure" we all replied.
Laura and Michael locked arms and so did Myra and Luke but me and Calum just walked next to each other. Ashton just walked by himself keeping his eyes on his shoes.
"You like the water?" Calum asked me.
"Yes I love the water!"
"Well that's good" Calum giggled as he pushed me into the water.
"Come in the waters nice!" I said as I pulled him into the water. We splashed water at each other and tuned out everyone else. It was really fun.
"Okay I'm freezing!" I yelled as a ran out of he water.
Calum grab his sweatshirt and gave it to me. We walked back to the fire with everyone else.
"Hey I'll be right back I have to go to the bathroom" Ashton said getting up. The bathroom as on the other side of the beach.
We watched walk away and as soon as he was out of sight Calum started talking.
"Is it just me or does Ashton still like Cassie?"Calum asked.
"Um well he probably does since the broke up earlier today" Michael said.
Calum just stayed quit.
It was about 15 minutes later and Ashton still wasn't back.
"I think I'm gonna go check on Ashton" I said getting up.
"I'll come with you!" Calum said.
"No. I'll go by myself I promise I'll be fine"
"Okay"
I was walking across the beach. I was getting really close to the bathroom when I heard an amazing voice
"I drove my all the place we used to hang out getting wasted. I thought about our last kiss how it felt the way you tasted, even though your friends tell me your doing fine, are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you." Ashton was singing. He had a really good voice.
"When he says those words that hurt you do you read the ones I wrote you " I joined in.
"Cassie!" He said turning around.
I sat down next to him.
"We weren't supposed to hear that" he said.
"Where you singing it about me?"
"Yeah. I miss you"
I felt really bad.
"I'm sorry Ashton."
I tried to think something to cheer him up.
"Hey we should sing What I Like About You instead of this sad song." I said.
He laughed.
"Well that was when we were dating"
"Just cause we're not dating doesn't mean it can't be our song"
We both laughed
