I woke up in a very good mood, which by the way literally screams that something bad is going to happen!! And being the princess of the west kingdom wasn't helping!!

Anyways, I walked out of my room after I was done getting ready, hectic routine to be honest, but I was used to wearing corsets every day!

I wonder how the life outside the palace might be, I've been in the outskirts for visits but I've never stayed in the village overnight!

It was always a very strict life for us, some people wonder how it might be to live in the castle, we have extremely strict rules, although I know that our life is much more better than the life of the villagers, they had to work day and night just to be able to eat, which sounds brutal!

I have 2 very annoying older brothers, Park Sunghoon and Park Jeongseong, better known as Jay , both of them are very good looking and smart but they annoy me  way too much!!

I was heading to the castle's library after breakfast, because well, I love reading !! But seems like I can't read today, because my maid , Chaeyeon, who's more like an older sister told me that my father... His majesty wanted to have a word with me !!

" Princess Iseul, his majesty would like to have a word with you"

I nodded and bowed at Chaeyeon

Walking towards the court I was wondering as though why would his majesty want to have a word with me out of nowhere!!

When arrived at the said destination, I saw the King of the south, King Lee!

I bowed at him as a sign of respect, that's when I noticed a young handsome man sitting right beside him, I bowed towards the younger male and stood there waiting for something to happen

As if on cue his majesty said something very unexpected

" Good morning princess Iseul, meet King Lee and his one and only son Prince Heeseung"

I turned towards the mentioned male and bowed again

Although honestly speaking the prince had a poker face on which I did not appreciate but just let it slide

" Prince Heeseung is the Crown Prince of the South Kingdom, and as you might know, to take over the throne the prince needs to get married. I have decided to get you married to the Crown Prince."

Although I was shocked, because well I am getting married to a guy who I just met and I only know his name I decided to stay calm and just collect more information about the current topic, so I just ended up nodding

" I would like it if the princess and Heeseung get to know each other better." The king of the South said

" Well then why don't you assist the Prince to the Royal garden while King Lee and I discuss  further about the wedding."

I nodded and assisted the Prince to the royal garden... And well this is awkward! How about I start the conversation ?

" So... How old are you?"

" 20"

Why is he giving me short answers?!

" Hmm... You're pretty young to take over the throne."

" I learnt more than required about the kingdom at a very young age."

He sounded rather cold but I decided to not judge him or jump to conclusions as I still just know his name and age

"What about you?"

I looked at him with a rather confused face

" Huh?"

" How old are you?"

" Oh, I'm 18"

He nodded... Seriously?! He's just going to nod?!!

" The garden's nice."

Well now imagine someone saying that in such a cold tone!

" What are your interests Prince Heeseung?"

He stayed quite for a while and then sighed

" Listen , first of all you don't need to be so formal, Second of all I am really not interested in making conversation right now!! It's better if we just stay quite"

I nodded, Although I was a bit taken aback I decided to not show it

" Also, I don't think that I would fall in love with you... I might take a while to be comfortable but I'm sure that I wouldn't fall in love with you... As for the marriage  let's just consider it some kind of formality!!" He said, although in a softer tone this time, probably trying not to hurt me with his words

I nodded once again.

" I understand, it might take you a while to get comfortable with me, but I'll try my best to not make you uncomfortable." I said trying to avoid the topic of him saying that the marriage is just a formality .

He smiled.... He has a very beautiful smile

" Thank you."

" You have a beautiful smile Prince Heeseung."

He just smiled , and looked away... Probably trying to hide his flustered face

" Prince Heeseung, his majesty would like to have you and the Princess present in the court room as he wants to discuss something important." My butler Yang Jungwon said

He was a pretty sweet guy, very humble and respectful. I treated him more like a best friend than a butler

We nodded bowed at him and walked towards the court room

" Ah, my daughter and Prince Heeseung. It's time to bid them a farewell as they will depart for the South Kingdom now, King Lee has important stuff to do."

" It was nice meeting you your majesty and Prince Heeseung" I said while bowing to them as a sign of respect

" It was nice meeting you too King Park and Princess Iseul. We'll take our leave now" 

They bowed and walked towards their carriage.
