I was about to return to the library but we heard two voices running towards his majesty and I while yelling
" Are you serious?!!"
It was Sunghoon and Jay
" Iseul is NOT getting married at the age of 18 to a guy who she does not even know!!"
" Prince Sunghoon. Iseul's getting married to Prince Heeseung, he's not unknown"
" Well guess what? That's even worse!" Jay said
" Why is it worse though?" I asked , visibly scared that I might trigger their anger even more
Jay softened after he saw the look on my face
" He's a very cold guy, he hates any type of interaction but he makes sure to avoid conversations while being respectful, which is the only good quality he has other than his quick witted personality and his incredibly gorgeous visuals." Sunghoon explained while dragging me away from his majesty while Jay was talking to his majesty
" I can change him, I can try..."
" Iseul ah it does not work like that, he's the coldest man you'll ever meet, apart from that, everybody in the kingdom knows how much you hate it when someone gives you the cold shoulder"
" Jay and I know that you won't be able to handle the cold silent treatment Prince Heeseung will give you, and we want to always make sure that our baby sister does not feel lonely at any point of life. "
I looked up at him with curious eyes
" Please say no for the wedding"
" I can't... His majesty will do anything and everything to get me married to Prince Heeseung"
" We'll help you, just please don't get married to Prince Heeseung."
"PARK JEONGSEONG. IT'S DECIDED THAT PRINCESS ISEUL IS MARRYING PRINCE HEESEUNG"
A few seconds after we heard stomping footsteps coming our way
It was Jay.
He hugged me, I could hear soft sobs from him
" Prince Jay, how about we talk more privately about it? "
He nodded
The three of us walked towards my room
" What is upsetting you Prince Jay?"
" It two things..."
" One is the marriage, I know , what is the second one?"
" The fact that his majesty addressed me by my full name.. like can he not call me Jay!?!"
I giggled
" That's such a silly reason to cry" said Prince Sunghoon with a poker face on.
" It's not a silly reason, I don't like being addressed by my korean name."
" Okay. Okay, chill. How are we going to stop the wedding?"
" Prince Sunghoon, we can't and we shouldn't"
Sunghoon sighed
" Iseul ah, just remember, if he ever treats you in a bad way, leave that kingdom and come back, we'll handle everything else" Jay said in a very calm way
I nodded
They left the room after a while when we were done talking about other things
Turns out that Prince Jay will take over the throne next year. Jay did not really like the idea as he wanted Sunghoon to not feel bad and that he also genuinely wanted Sunghoon to take over the throne, because he thinks Sunghoon will be a much better king for the kingdom.
Sunghoon on the other hand was extremely happy after finding out that Jay will be taking over the throne, he did not like the position of a king, and he said he wanted to be a free bird who can explore as much as possible... Jay was happy to know that Sunghoon does not have a problem with him taking over the throne
So in the end Jay will be taking over the throne and Sunghoon will get to explore !! Sunghoon also wanted to help the villagers weren't educated... He wanted to share his knowledge with people
I did not really have a choice, I had to get married to one
of the Crown Prince's , and in my case the crown prince was Prince Heeseung.
I just continued with my day,
I hope Prince Heeseung is not the way Sunghoon described him. I don't want to have a tough time dealing with him as well as looking after the South Kingdom as a Queen
It's just too much stress for me
And the fact that I have never experienced anything like this just makes it worse!!
Hmm, I think talking to her majesty might help
I walked towards the queen's personal butler, Kim Hwajin, she was an elderly woman in her late 50s
I bowed
" Good morning princess, how can I help you?"
" Good morning miss Hwajin, may I know where the queen is ?"
She nodded and guided me towards the queen's personal library
