Passing through
I'm a stream
Passing through the marshlands
I carry with me
The memories of yesterday
And the hopes of tomorrow
I wash the rocks beneath
With pure love
And take their sediments
Away with me
Those who pass by
Wonder at my leisurely pace
Meandering around the rocks and debris
Some accompany me as we move
In a journey of togetherness
Others sit and watch
Delighting at the sights and sounds
Here at the meadow
I paint a beautiful backdrop
There by the bridge, a couple's paradise
Wherever I go, the sky's my companion
Never leaving my side
Rain, storm or beautiful sunshine
And when it's time
I meet the River
And surrender myself
To all its glory.
