As Violet started walking the rain started pouring down hard. Normally, walking in the rain wouldn't bother Violet, but for some odd reason it was raining extremely hard. She hesatated but decided to walk underneath Tate's porch until the rain died down. As she waited she pulled out a cigerette and inhaled. Suddenly she heard screaming through the other side of the house. Violet couldn't make out the voices or the words but she could tell that something going on. So, being the nosey girl she is she peaked her Hazel brown eyes into the side of the window. She was shocked as she saw Tate screeming at constance he was holding something in his hand but she couldn't make out what it was. She could only see Constance crying, snd screaming back. Violet watched in awe when Constance hit Tate, and the Violet could finally make out Tates words. "Fuck you" he screamed walking towards the door. Violet jumped away from the window. She contemplated hiding on the other side of the porch or staying. When finally she didn't have time to think because the door opened, and Tate was staring at her. "What are you doing here Violet" he said in an annoyed tone. "My dads being an asshole, so I left. I didn't get far before this bullshit rain started so I hid here" she said blushing but taking another hit off of her cigerette. "Oh okay then" Tate said still walking down the stairs into the rain. Violet felt sadness becuase she could sense it in Tates eyes. "Where are you going" she screamed to the curly haired boy. "Away from here" he responded. "Can I come" VIolet asked following Tate down the street in the pouring rain. "Sure" Tate said still acting distant. The two walked down the street side by side for a couple miles each not saying a word. Violet enjoyed tates company and the sound of the rain. She didn't care that she was soaking wet as long as she was spending time with him. They approached a play ground. Violet hesitated going to it but Tate went. She followed him. Still not saying a word. She watched as he walked over to the swing and sat down. Violet finally decided to break the silence. "Your ass is going to be soaked" she smirked at Tate. Walking over to the swing next to him and brushing the water off. He gave her a look then he smirked at her. He still didn't say anything to her. So she tried again this time being nosey "wana talk about it" she asked looking down at her dangling legs trying to start to swing a little. "Fuck no" he said. "Anything but that" he added. Violet smiled knowing she finally cracked him. "Hmm I don't even what to talk about" she giggled. "Why'd you guys move here" he asked swinging alongside of her. "Do you want the bullshit answer my parents tell or the real one" violet responded. "The real one" Tate smiled at her. "Well my mom walked in on my dad fucking his student, and in order to save the family we moved across the country and pretend like nothing happened" she explains with an annoyed tone. "That's horrible. I believe if you love someone you should never hurt them" he said concerned for Violet. She nodded her head in agreement with Tate. "I can't believe its still raining" Violet said. "For real" Tate said. Then he cupped his hands letting the rain gather in his hands once it filled up he threw the water on Violet laughing. "Ahhh" she said jumping out of her swing "you asshole"she laughed. She walked over and pushed him out of his swing. He fell backwards but soon got up running after violet who was hiding under the slide. They both laughed playing tag with each other running around the play ground. Finally Tate grabbed Violet in his arms he looked at her getting so close to her lips. This was the moment Violet longed for the most she was going to kiss Tate. "We should uh probably head back" he said letting go of Violet. She nodded looking fine on the outside but inside was dying. How could she have read the whole situation wrong?
