Guys I honestly really like this chapter and hope you do to! I like where this story is going so far even though updates are taking me absurdly long! This chapter is pretty long so enjoy! Please let me know you're thoughts on this chapter and the story so far! Thank you for reading!!Shit. Violet thought to herself as she looked at the time. She was late. She knew she was supposed to be outside to meet Max fifteen minutes ago. So, she threw on a floral dress, a cardigan, brushed her hair, and headed towards the front door.
In order to avoid her parents she snuck down the stairs in an attempt to not be heard. She was surprised to meet Ben at the end of the stairs who was waiting patently knowing she would eventually try to leave because it was a Friday night.
"Where do you think your going" Ben said sternly. "Out" she replied emotionless. "And where have you been all day. We were worried sick" "school" "you better turn around your grounded" "Ben" Vivian interrupted. Causing violet to turn because she was curious as to what her mom would say. "Are you going to be safe" she asks Violet. "Yes Mom". "Are you making friends" "yes mom" Violet rolld her eyes. "You can go" Vivian smiles at her. Ben gives Vivian a look but then adds "don't be hanging out with Tate" "k bye" Violet says shutting the door as she hurried to find Max's car.
"Dude you're crazy late" Max says unlocking the door for her. "Fifteen minutes is not crazy late" "Twenty" he responding pointing to the time that was lit up in green rectangles on his dash. "Haha" Violet said sarcastically. "I got caught up by my parents" she explained. "Well that's surprising. I thought it was because you were making yourself look that beautiful" Max said smiling at her feeling good to finally have the courage to actually give Violet a complement. To his surprise there was no response from her no thank you or anything just silence. It wasn't that Violet didn't want to say anything back she was confused. She wanted to like Max. He was cute his shaggy brown hair and hazel blue eyes appealed to her, and many other girls, but she couldn't help but feel absolutely nothing but friendship for him. Maybe though, she thought she should go for him. Tate would never go for her. His girlfriend was nothing like her and maybe it was time to get over his golden messy curls and those dimples she loved so much. She blushed thinking about Tate.
"I didn't mean to embarrass you" Max says smiling. "Wh-What, oh no you didn't" the awkwardness feeds into her. "Oh well good cause were here" he says turning the car off. Violet looked around relazing they were at the beach. She stepped out of the car and walked towards the and of the parking lit, down a hill to see a bonfire in the sand lit up with ten kids a surrounding it and knew that's where they were heading.
