"Are you not leaving?" Elle's raised when she saw Jaebeom was making himself comfortable on her couch after paying the nanny.
He looked up at her, putting his fist over his heart and feigning mocked hurt, "Oh wow, I don't know that you're that cruel, noona. Can't I take a rest for a bit?"
"Yes, you can," she hurriedly answered before leaving him to put back her belongings, changing her clothes and washing up quickly before joining him back in the living room. "Do you want some drink?" she offered when she was back in front of him.
"I thought you're not drinking," he furrowed his eyebrows, thinking that she was offering alcoholic beverages.
"Well, I'm not," she shrugged. "But since you're pretty much a regular here and you always nag about me not having other beverages aside from water, so I bought some for just in case, but no alcohol," she walked toward her refrigerator and opened it. Before she got the chance to grab the drinks, he was already standing behind her in front of the refrigerator and after browsing his options, he grabbed his favorite ice choco mint latte before sitting back.
"Yayy.. you finally buy this," he exclaimed excitedly, waving his hands as he did so, totally acting like a little kid. She laughed looking at him being such a baby.
"I should film you being a baby like that and your fans would be crazy," she nudged him playfully.
"Well, then you'd be in trouble as well because they might ask where I am since they'll know this isn't my house. I mean the background," he waved to her kitchen behind him. "They'd be quick to realize that I am not at my own house," he was quick with a comeback and it hit right on the spot. She suddenly realized it as well and shut her mouth.
"Anyway, what's with Jackson earlier?" Jaebeom diverted the conversation quickly while trying hard to make it sound casually.
"Earlier when?" she totally not sure which one he was asking about, considering that Jackson cornered her twice this day. Once when he kidnapped her from the set and once when they were in the restaurant earlier.
"On the set," he answered. Apparently he didn't know that Jackson was talking to her while he was paying for the meal.
"Nothing. He just told me to buy some ice cream and we ate while talking. But mostly he's poking into my life," she shrugged.
"Sorry noona, I'll remind him to just mind his own business," his lips turned into tight lines as he probably had warned Jackson to mind his own business before.
"It's okay," she dismissed him. "He just likes to talk and he doesn't mean anything bad by it. If I said it's too personal, then he won't pester me. But lately he's been talking about the same topic again and again."
"What topic?" Jaebeom turned his upper body so he was facing Elle and Elle tried to avoid his gaze, staring at her feet the whole time.
"Me not dating nor getting remarried. He still can't accept why I wouldn't date anyone or maybe thinking the possibility of being remarried if I ever found someone who loves me back," she answered quickly, still avoiding his gaze.
"So, why don't you? Dating or remarried, I mean," Jaebeom kept his eyes train on her, waiting for her answer.
"Oh come on, not you too," she rolled her eyes, finally lifted her eyes but soon regretted it when she realized that he kept looking at her, still waiting for her real answer. After a long pause, she finally opened her mouth. "I don't know, I just think about Ji-hoon and not myself. Plus, who would want to date and marry an old woman with an excess baggage like me? Can we talk something else, please?" She diverted her gaze, anywhere but his face and she could feel his stare bore a hole on the side of her face for another minute before she heard him sigh. A minute later, he lifted himself from the couch.
