CHAPTER 9 - DELIVERY

Elle decided to take it slow the next morning. She should enjoy her free time while Ji-hoon was with his grandparents. They were going to drop him at school tomorrow so she had the day all day for herself. She was just finished taking shower and was about to bake the pasta when someone rang the bell. She went to see who's outside her door. It was Jinyoung. She wondered why.

"What brings you early this morning?" she asked him when she opened the door.

"You. We're kidnapping you," he said, grabbing her and pushing her back inside, while Youngjae appeared from behind Jinyoung and went inside as well. Jinyoung simply told her to change into a T-shirt and comfortable pants while Youngjae grabbed her bag.

"What's going on?" she asked them, but they kept their mouth shut. She was grateful because at least they made sure everything was safe, locking the door and everything before leaving the apartment. They dragged her to their car and before she went inside, Youngjae raised his hands, a blindfold in his hand as he grinned, "Sorry noona, but you have to wear this," pointing to the blindfold and Elle sighed, letting Youngjae to put it on her. After her eyes were blindfolded, she heard Jinyoung muttered another apology before she felt her wrists being tied together. 

"Oh come on, what are you guys up to now?" she protested. "Who's going to open my cafe later?"

"Don't worry noona, I have your usual part timer number, I'll call him and have him open the cafe. I'll close it later and keep the key. Tomorrow I'll drop it to your apartment," Jinyoung assured her. 

Elle got nothing to say. She just sat still. It took quite awhile before the car finally stopped.

"Hello, hyung," she heard Jinyoung's voice again. He was probably calling someone after the car has stopped as she heard the phone's waiting tune before Jinyoung spoke. Elle squirmed in her seat. This was not a good sign. The only person left in Korea that Jinyoung would call as 'hyung' was none other than Jaebeom.

"Hyung, can you come to the parking lot? We're dropping something for you," Jinyoung continued. Elle overheard the other person argued him. "Come quickly, don't ask any questions, just come to the parking lot. We're here already," he insisted. She heard the other person gave up at the end and the phone call ended. Seconds later, she heard the car door being opened and then the side of her door was being opened as well. Then someone held her arm, helping her to get out of the car. She was grateful that person kept holding her hand while helping her walk away from the car.

"Okay noona, just stand here and wait," she heard Youngjae's voice but before she could answer, she heard his footsteps walking away from her. Few seconds later she heard someone shouted, "What's going on in here?"

Then she heard those quick footsteps running away from her position and then she heard Jinyoung shout, "We're giving you a gift, bye hyung!" Seconds later,  the car engine came alive and she could hear the car was moving away, probably going out of the car park as she heard nothing after another few seconds. She stood still even when she heard someone running past through her, probably chasing the car, but the footsteps stopped after she couldn't hear the car engine anymore. Then she heard the footsteps going back to her position before stopping right in front of her. She felt someone take off her blindfold and when she could finally see, it was indeed Jaebeom. Annoyance was clear in his eyes.

"Sorry noona," he shook his head as he apologized. "I totally have no idea what they were doing." She was worried that she had ruined his day so she looked down. But when she did, she saw what the other two was doing to her hands. They used a ribbon to tie her hands, to make it clearer that she was the gift.

"It's okay. They surprised me as well but they must annoy you the most. You're planning to have a quiet day, but they totally ruined it," she exhaled softly, rubbing her wrists after Jaebeom untied the ribbon. "Can I get a taxi from here? You can continue with what you were doing earlier," she continued, unable to look at him.
