Little Executive

The depth of the darkness within the walls of the boss's office hid secrets and cruelty. There would never be a day where lies of a silver tongue didn't trap somebody into death. Whenever the petite mafioso stepped within the enclosure of walls, unsettlement sprung around his body. More so with the once adult, now child executive. Their eyes still shut and breaths trapped in shallow hums, fast asleep, and curled into his chest. Chuuya held them close, though his hold was soft to the child, he held onto their body firmly as if somebody would try to take them from the safe embrace of his arms. Looking at Mori, the boss, Chuuya dipped his head to pay respect. His feet carrying him remotely to the side of the chair.

The darker-themed man, wearing more black and with colder eyes than Chuuya, creased his brows at the sight of the child in his arms. "Chuuya, this is quite an issue. One of our executives turned into a child on a mission. It doesn't bode well for our reputation." That tone, one he was familiar with, far too familiar with.

Chuuya had been the partner of this man's protege once... before he left to the light. That tone, the sense of false pity. "I'll figure out something to do with them." Chuuya held back a glare, putting utter respect in his voice. His chest held back a fraction of hope Mori wouldn't take them from his arms. He'd have no choice to listen, though that didn't mean he wouldn't put up an initial fight to reason with the Mafia boss.

Mori's glinted eyes, filled with cruelty, shot towards Chuuya, a grin spreading over his face. "That you will, Chuuya. You can't keep it around here. It would get in the way of missions. I'm sure Kouyou would jump at the chance to take care of a baby, but she's going to be on extended leave for a mission this evening. Now that I mention it, I did have a new mission to discuss with you and your partner, but it seems that won't happen. You'll have to go alone... without that." He gestured to the small child as he spoke. Chuuya didn't understand why he referred to them as it. Normally he addresses them the correct way, perhaps he despised young children. "We do have that truce with the Agency at the moment... ah such a predicament, wouldn't you agree Chuuya?" as if he'd been shot, Chuuya snarled, clutching them closer to his chest. He was willing to let that walking waste of space have eyes on them.

"I'm not letting Dazai of all people look after somebody he left." Chuuya barked, not meaning to be rude, but he was overly protective of them normally. The vulnerability of them now only strengthened that protective instinct.

"The perfect reason, wouldn't you agree?" If they become an adult again and remember things that went on during... this incident, then somebody they have no attachment to will make parting back to the mafia easy." Mori wasn't going to accept a no, Chuuya understood that. His suggestion was never a suggestion. It bothered him, but he forced his head to nod.

"I'll get on it right away."

"Try to make it quick, I have a meeting later and there's a lot to inform you on before you leave for this mission." Mori didn't trace Chuuya's steps as he walked out into the lighter hall.

Chuuya decided to make a pit-stop before going to Dazai. An event he was still very much against. Knocking on the executive's door, he rocked on his feet. He'd shove his hands into his pockets, but there was a baby in his arms at the moment. The door creaked up, revealing a tall lady with hair a similar color to his own. "Ah, Chuuya, you didn't tell me you were stopping by today." She smiled fondly at the small executive, letting the door open completely. Her eyes looked down to the bundle in his arms, and for a moment she looked surprised. Though it took a minute, she grew into recognition after observing the child for a bit. "Is this?"

"It's Y/n, they got into an accident. I figured you would know more about what a baby needs. It's also expected they may grow, so I'll need clothes for all ages... that and I don't know what to do about their uh... gender." They had always been non-binary to him. He'd never known them before they figured out who they were. He didn't exactly know what to do about that, nor did he know what Dazai would do about it. The thought of leaving a confused child with him pained him. Kouyou slid a chair out, letting Chuuya sit down just as the little one began to open their eyes.
