-_-~_~One Month Later~_~-_-
It had been a month. I had gained my memory back, the boys showing me pictures or talking of things had finished the puzzle in my brain called 'Memory.' My feelings had grown for Luke and Ashton, but I had no idea who I could trust.
Ashton had been my bully, I've probably had a few bones broken because of him. Thousands of bruises lay on my body because of him. Even more wounds lay on my wrists from him. But, he said he loved me, he just had a . . . weird way of showing it.
Luke had been my bully, too, but he had been against Ashton (or at least he said that). He visited me at the hospital, and when did I see Ashton? Not once! I was in that hospital for a week! I sighed, rubbing my hands over my face. I need a drink, and Michael, I thought.
I huffed and got up, stretching, and went to the kitchen. Too bad I wasn't 18 yet. I grabbed some pudding and a spoon, peeling off the lid. I put the lid in the trash, why do people lick it? It's so time consuming, I grumbled inside my head.
I'll go to Michael's, then we can get Calum. At least Calum doesn't like me. I finished up and threw the container away. Walking/running to the door, I hopped out and sighed. It was a sunny day, but small drifts of wind blew.
Since his house was only, like, a block away, I just walked. I loved the way the birds chirped to each other, the way the winds ruffles my hair. It was calming, peaceful. Finally I got to Michael's house. I could see it, a blue one-story house with a large basement.
Suddenly I heard yelling. Is that coming from his house? I stopped, watching, but keeping out of view. His door opened, slamming into the wall. "GET OUT! GET OUT AND NEVER COME BACK!" I heard his mom yell, my eyes widened as she threw him out.
He tripped down the three stairs, and though he hit his head, he scrambled up. I saw him mumble to himself something, then he looked up. The door slammed behind him, making me flinch. As soon as I could tell his mom wasn't there, I ran to him.
"Michael!" I said, hugging him. I could tell he was on the verge of crying. I pulled away, his eyes watering. "Oh, Michael," I said, looking at the corner of his head. I moved his Galaxy hair away, the blood dripping out. He winced, but let me see it.
"Come on, let's go to Calum's," I said quietly, wrapping my arm around him. You could tell he didn't want to appear weak, not when people were there, but he was such a softie. I know he would cry if we were alone in mine or his room.
"I - I . . . " he started. "I can't go back, Meg." I sighed, not knowing what to say. "You could live with one of the boys," I said. He was silent. Asking to live with someone isn't the easiest, especially when the boys all live with their family.
"Why did your mother kick you out?" I said carefully, calming my voice. "She was drunk," he said without hesitation. (A/N I am pretty sure Michael doesn't have siblings, so I made one up.) "My little brother, Ron," he started carefully. "He's only five, so when he broke a vase, I blamed myself," he said finally, rubbing his face.
I sighed. "We need to get Ron away," I said quietly. "I know, I already know how," he finished off, right as we got to Calum's. Before I even knocked, Calum rushed out. "What happened?!" he asked in confusion, looking to Michael. "I was just on my way to, er . . ." He looked a little embarrassed. "Starbucks," he said.
Me and Michael shared a look. "Do you have time to spare?" I asked, rolling my eyes at him. "No, uh, I - I work there," he said sheepishly. "Welp, you're gonna be late today," I said, walking up to his door and pulljg them inside.
He groaned. "I need some bandades, a wet cloth, and a pie," I said, sitting Michael down. "Oooooooook," Calum said, announce pricking his voice.
