*Two years later*
~Y/n's POV~
I was walking around with Ellie and we were talking about anything and everything, the guys had told us that they'd watch the kids while me and Ellie could take a break. Me and Ellie were unsure of the idea but were fine with it seeming as it was bound to happen at some point.
"Isn't Peaches three?" I asked Ellie which see nodded at.
"And Manny is already on protective dad mode?"
"Yes, it bugs me sometimes that she can't make many friends with the other mammoth kids but he is the dad." she sighed.
"Yeah, they're still obliged to have a say in everything." I say in response, knowing it's similar with Diego.
"Does Diego do anything you don't agree with?" she asks me.
"Yes." I say with a hint of frustration.
"Like what?"
"He wants to teach the kids how to hunt soon, saying it's better for them to start at a young age like he did."
"You don't agree?"
"Absolutely not. I mean I get he may have leaned to hunt when he was their age but we aren't a pack, and we only ever hunt for food. Which me and Diego can still get for them so there's no need to teach them now."
"That is fair, but don't you think that it's best in case of emergencies?" I look at Ellie with a playful hurt look.
"Ellie, I can't believe you'd side with him. Traitor." I smirk at then end which Ellie rolls her eyes at.
"Y/n, think about it." I sigh knowing she's right.
"I know that that's a huge factor but, I don't want them to be scared or think something's going to happen."
"That's understandable, besides like you said the guys are obliged to have a say."
"Hey! Don't use my own words against me." we laugh with each other before we hear male screams or calls, me and Ellie share a glance knowing exactly what males they are. We run in the direction of the calls and make our way to Manny, Diego, Sid, Ryker, Peaches and the possums.
"What's going on?" Ellie asks.
"Somehow, Sage managed to um..." I sigh in frustration at my daughter, always running off thinking she knows better or how to do things. I turn in the direction Diego is looking to, and I see Sage who has somehow managed to make her way to the top of the ice slide.
"Sage! Get down from there!" I yell to her with concern and anger, but of course she shook her head and giggled.
"Diego, weren't you watching her?!" I turn to him with anger.
"I was, but then Ryker needed help and when I went back to where Sage was she was already gone!" he told me with worry.
"How many times do I have to tell that girl, not to run off!" I state.
"Y/n, calm down she is still a cub." Manny tries to tell me.
"A cub that is three years old, fully talking and understands what we're saying but somehow still manages to ignore me!" everyone knew I was right and shouldn't be messed with, this girl never listens to me and it frustrates me so much.
"Sage! If you don't get down from there, there will be no deer for you for a week!" I yell up, I've run out of options with Sage so taking away the things she loves will teach her. No one decided to protest with what I had said, not even Diego, he knows that I get more frustrated every time Sage doesn't listen to me.
