Nat's POV:
I hear a knock at my door and I'm hoping it isn't Steve. I just can't be bothered to fake it today. Yelena appears at the door with Clint.
"Come on family day out," Clint informs me.
"I'm not in the mood," I sulk.
"That's why we're going to the farm. Y/N isn't going to wake up today so let's just go and spend some time with the kids. They miss their Auntie Nat," Clint pleads.
"Please," Yelena pouts.
"Fine," I agree reluctantly. I follow them to the jet when Steve appears.
"Where are you going?" He asks confused.
"Family bonding day and no you're not invited," Yelena snarks taking my hand leading me to the jet.
"Would you not rather stay with me Nat?" Steve questions.
"I haven't seen the kids in such a long time I'll be back soon," I answer. Yelena and Clint smile impressed as I follow them to the jet.Wanda's POV:
We pull up outside the farm and it feels almost like home. Morgan runs out tackling me in a hug.
"Auntie Wanda are you here to colour?" Morgan asks clutching onto me.
"Yes I am. I bought you a present," I inform her. She smiles excitedly.
"Let's go to my room we can open it there," Morgan requests.
"Do I not get a hello?" Tony laughs.
"Hi dad. Let's go Auntie Wanda," Morgan instructs. I carry her to her room with the bag. As soon as I put her down she almost bounces with excitement. I place the bag down and she looks up at me for permission.
"Go ahead," I encourage her. She opens the present seeing 3 different colouring books, colouring pencils and pens. They sold an iron man one which I knew she'd love. One with princesses in and one with sports.
"I love them thank you Auntie Wanda," Morgan declares hugging me tightly.
"You're welcome. Which one do you want to do first?" I check.
"Dad's one," Morgan requests.
"Let's do it."Nat's POV:
The jet ride to the farm is full of weird silence.
"So are you going to tell me the real reason you whisked me away today?" I ask as Clint lands at the farm.
"We'll explain once you've said hello to the kids," Clint assures me. Just then the jet doors open and in rushes Nate to tackle me in a hug.
"You wouldn't think his father had been away," Clint laughs.
"Auntie Nat is more fun," Nate replies.
"That's you told old man. Now I was promised Laura's lunch that's the only reason I agreed to come," Yelena starts.
"Food is on the table Yelena. Why don't we all head inside and catch up?" Laura suggests not taking her eyes off me. We sit at the table while the kids are busy in their rooms."Well?" I ask not knowing what they're waiting for.
"We're worried about you Nat. You seem different. You're isolated and you're letting Steve dictate your life. Today was the first time since you started dating that you did something without him and without his permission," Clint explains.
"Not this again. Why do people keep saying this? He's a nice guy. He takes care of me. I've got nothing to complain about," I lie at the end.
"Bullshit Natasha. You don't even like him. You're protecting yourself from falling in love again and getting your heart broken. You're blinding yourself from the truth. Wanda showed Clint and I what happened. He's dangerous Nat and controlling. Please think about what you're doing," Yelena begs. She looks genuinely concerned.
"How do you know Wanda isn't manipulating it?" I bite back defensive not wanting to admit what we all know as the truth. I'm being controlled and he's not the man I thought he was.
"Because she would never lie and she would never want to hurt you. Manipulating this would only cause everyone to hurt. She would never do that. She loves you and you know you can trust her because you still love her," Clint reasons.
"What is it that's keeping you from seeing what's in front of you Nat?" Laura queries taking my hand.
"I know what I'm doing ok? Just leave it. I'm going to hang out with Nate. Let me know when you're leaving," I sigh heading upstairs. What am I doing this for? The truth is... I don't know.Wanda's POV:
"Auntie Wanda...," Morgan starts as we sit on her and Y/N's bench.
"Yes Morgan," I encourage her.
"D...do you think Auntie Y/N will be ok?" She asks tearily.
"Your Auntie is a fighter. We've got to stay positive and will her to come back to us," I try to provide her some comfort.
"Dad won't let me see her. Is it really bad?" Morgan questions. Damn kid why the hard questions?
"The amount of wires she has to check she's ok are a little scary but mostly she looks like she's sleeping. She's still your very beautiful Auntie," I assure her.
"When she wakes up are you going to be her girlfriend again?" Morgan queries.
"I hope so. I realise I love her too much to be without her," I inform her making her smile brightly.
"Y/N says I can be flower girl when you get married. Can I still be it?" Morgan checks.
"Of course. You'll look wonderful."
"Thank you Auntie Wanda. When Auntie Y/N wakes up can we go for ice cream again?" Morgan requests.
"Of course. And you can have all the toppings you want," I agree.
"I miss her," Morgan sighs.
"I miss her too. But she wouldn't want us to be upset so let's do something fun. Ooh how about we play a prank on your dad?" I suggest.
"Yes."Nat's POV:
We land back at the compound and I head straight into my room to find Steve waiting for me.
"I'm tired and I just want to go to sleep. Can you just go please?" I sigh.
"What did I do? I just came to ask how your day was," he replies offended.
"You know what it was shit. Every one of the important people in my life say that you're controlling me and that we shouldn't be together. You've got to give me some space to show that it isn't true," I plead.
"Fine but don't listen to them. I'd do anything for you. You know that right?" He checks as he walks towards the door.
"Yeah I do." That's what I'm worried about.
