11: Attack

As I drive to Safar's garage, which is where we all agreed to meet if we got separated and it's also where we'd meet Mr Nobody. I let my mind wander as I drive, Brian told me to fight for what I love. To fight for the people I love. I trust him and I trust that he believes Dom will understand eventually. I'm going to stop them from killing each other and I know Deck will understand. He seemed ready for me to abandon him, he didn't expect me to stay with him and go against my family and Dom will come around. Hopefully.

I pull up to Safar's garage to find everyone gathered around with Mr Nobody. They all turn to look at me as I enter and Brian comes over to hug me. "I'm so glad you're ok" he says as he squeezes. "Don't squeeze" I whisper quickly and he releases his grip. "I'm ok just a nasty bruise" I say as we both begin walking to the group. "Where have you been?" Dom asks knowingly. "You know where I've been" I answer him. "So how do we know you aren't leading Shaw straight to us?" he says more as a statement than a question. "Because I won't help him kill you just like I won't help you kill him" I answer anyway. "So you know where he is?" Roman asks. I look at him and nod my head. "We don't need her to tell us. Ramsey, find me Shaw" Dom says and turns to Ramsey. She uses God's Eye on the computer set in the garage.

We stand around waiting even though I already know where he is. I watch the clip of Deck helping me out of the lift and Dom turns around to look at me. Brian rests a hand on my shoulder while Tej asks about God's Eye and Ramsey answers. They discover Deck's location within a minute and Dom says we leave at dawn. "Except you" he says, pointing at me. I remain quiet as he walks past me and everyone else just stares at me. I sigh and leave to change out of my dress and heels. I try and think about what to do next. Do I go to the warehouse and protect Deck or should I just hope for the best? No. Fight. I already know the way to the warehouse so I'll drive there to protect Deck.

As I'm tying the lace of my boots, Brian knocks on the door and I look up and smile at him. "I just wanted to see how you're doing" he says as he sits beside me on the sofa. I smile at his caring nature. "I'm ok" I reply as I sit up and lean back. "He helped you" he states. "Yeah, he did. He checked me and gave me an ice pack for the bruise and gave me a car to get here" I explain. "He really cares about you" Brian replies and leans back beside me. "He loves me" I say with a smile. He nods his head and lean my head on his shoulder. "Danielle" he starts. "I know. Dom isn't waiting until dawn" I finish for him. He sighs. "It's ok Brian. I can't stop Dom, I know that" I assure him and he gets up to leave with Dom.

I get into the car Deck gave me and drive to the warehouse. I pull up on the opposite side of the building as Dom and Mr Nobody's men. I enter through the back door and make my way through. I hear Deck ask "This is all I warrant. A dozen men" before one of Mr Nobody's men answers "I think you'll find it's more than enough". I continue to make my way through to see Deck sat at a table with a plate of food in front of him with Dom, Brian, Mr Nobody and his men stood with their guns pointed at him. Deck then wipes his face with his tissue and then pulls the pin from a grenade. All men become much more alert and back away while Dom walks forward. "I'm ready to meet my maker. Are you?" he asks. I step out from behind the wall I'm behind with my hands up. "Dom, please don't do this" I beg him as I slowly walk towards Deck until I'm stood beside him. He looks back at me ashamed and I look at Brian slightly but his eyes soften slightly although he keeps his gun raised. "What were you expecting Toretto? To catch me off guard? Me standing here waving a white flag? Ever heard the saying 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'?" he replies with questions. "I don't have friends. I have family" Dom replies while giving me a look I know means, I'm not a part of the family anymore. "Well, I've got a lot of friends" Deck says before the lights go out and an explosion happens.

Brian, Dom and Mr Nobody's men all duck to avoid being hit by anything while Deck jumps up from his chair and pulls me behind a wall. My back against the wall while Deck stands in front of me. "You just got yourself into a lot of trouble" he says, referring to Dom. "You fight for what you love" I reply as I cup his face with a smile. I see Jakandae walk in and then Brian gets low to the ground while firing at Jakandae's men. I can't let them die. "Give me a gun" I say to Deck. He reaches behind and pulls one from his belt and hands it to me. I kiss his cheek quickly and run around the corner and shoot Jakandae's men. Dom looks at me and I nod my head to assure him I want to help him and he nods back. At least he still trusts me. I continue to shoot men to protect Dom and Brian. Dom and Brian help an injured Mr Nobody up and out of the warehouse when I see Deck throw a grenade in their direction. "No!" I yell as I run towards them. Dom and Mr Nobody are almost out the door so I jump and push Brian to the floor to avoid the explosion, which causes a rushing pain in my side. We both cough and Brian helps me up as I try and focus my vision and hearing. "Get in the car" I hear him say and I get in the passenger seat while he drives with Dom and Mr Nobody in the back.
