It was not that hard to get himself together for their children. After all, children is their first priority. Every day he wakes up to a good morning call from his children, he is grateful to Isak for allowing it, for allowing him in their children's life.
He got ready and had his breakfast with mom. She was getting better day after day. He focussed on her most of the days. Other days, he was way too drunk to get out of his room. It maybe unhealthy, but that's life. Some days he manage to remain sober for meetings he cannot avoid. Asmund is a good CEO. But sometimes they just need the chairman to be present and so he is. No one knows that he and Isak are separated. Its like one of those upper class secrets.
It was Mihaita and Vilhelm bringing the kids today. They stepped in and his mom's face widened in happiness. His boys tackled him, jumping on him that he had to gather them around and pick Aros up in his arms, leading the older ones upstairs to their rooms. They will stay with him for the night and leave by Sunday afternoon.
"Baba, I drew picture," said Blyn and promptly handed him a sketch of seven people.
"That Papa, Baba and us," said Aros eagerly. How ironic it is that his children drew it so.
"Its a beautiful picture," said Arkyn.
"Papa said so," said Davyn. He got his children to the garden and before long the house was filled with their noises. The fact that it looks like a mourning home when they leave week after week is obvious. No one comments on it, ever so loyal to Isak. Isak who managed to win all of them over in a few days time. Isak who was once his, eyes wide open and vulnerable, heart open only for him. And what did he do? He did the unthinkable.
Now, he has to be satisfied with what life throws at him and he will learn. He will have to.
_____________
Esben was having a bad day in office. For one, he haven't slept well in a week and secondly, his chief of security was giving him a hard time about a spontaneous meet up with his friends. Seriously! Like, he is the emperor. He should be able to see his friends when he wishes, not when his security team agrees. But the chief chosen by his parents based on his works and efforts in the forces, is a menace. Magnor Syver is everything like his name would suggest. His is also a pain in the ass. He takes no disrespect even from the emperor. It didn't help that the man is at least ten years older than him.
Esben glowered at Magnor who was looking back evenly.
"You cannot stop me from seeing my class mates and friends. Oh wait, who am I explaining the concept of friends to. You don't have any," growled Esben irritated.
"Esben, your circle cannot be trusted fully. It is my job and I will do it as I see fit," said Magnor.
"What do you mean? Bring me the details then. How exactly are they betraying me?" asked Esben, not believing one word.
"Family information to media and the party heads," said Magnor.
"Are my parents aware?" asked Esben.
"Yes, I had informed them."
"I am not a child for you all to hold my hand through everything," snapped Esben and stormed out. He was ready to throw a fit but when he saw Papa, all he could do was curl up on his lap. He clutched his Papa tight as he sobbed.
"From school to now, they only want to befriend me because of who I am. How pathetic is that?" asked Esben sobbing a bit more.
"You know, I didn't have a friend before your Baba either. Maybe its time to find your alpha," said Mihaita teasingly. Esben huffed, hugging him close.
