Optimus POV

When all of the bots and the children had returned to the base I requested that ratchet and Bumblebee come with me for a reconnaissance mission. Arcee question this, " why are you taking ratchet no offense but it's not exactly a young bot any more?"

Before ratchet could throw a wrench at her I replied, "Ratchet is still very experienced at doing fieldwork and what he is lacking in tactical abilities Bumblebee makes up for which is why I am also bringing bumblebee along for, this is scouting mission and I will need my scout."

Satisfied with my answer she just went back to talking with the children. Ratchet then powered up the ground bridge and we went through it to the coordinates.

We emerged from the ground bridge in front of a cave and we assumed to head in so the three of us cautiously made our way into the cave. Once inside the cave we could see that it continued on after a curve and there was light from around the curve so the three of us followed it. I went around the corner and we saw Megatron, Soundwave, and Knockout. The room was not very large but it was still large enough to host a Circular metal table with metal chairs all around it. Megatron stood up and walked around the table to greet me he held out his hand and I shook it.

" I am pleased that you can make it today, Optimus."
I nodded and responded, "Of course, Both of our causes have suffered many losses, we have not only lost lives but also our home. So any chance to end this war peacefully is a chance I will take."
"Good to see you're still has determined as you were all those years ago before the war. Some bots never change do they?" He replied.
"Not all bots, but I believe every bot deserves a second chance."

Megatron gave a small smile before nodding to both ratchet and Bumblebee and then he moved back around to sit at the table, the rest of us all followed suit it and sat down.

We begin to discuss the means of ending the war. When ratchet questioned what could be done to restore Cybertron, Megatron responded that he had successfully rebuild the omega lock. Ratchet went silent. Knockout then piped up and said the only thing they needed was to complete a stabilized version of the Synth-En formula. Once Knockout assured us that the formula would work in restoring Cybertron we moved on to how we would be able to end the war peacefully without our sides breaking out and trying to fight each other or trying to start the war again.
"My team will be calm and will not start the war again."

"Yes they know better even if some are very spiteful." Ratchet followed.

"They we will have a trap set for the Decepticons who will want to restart the war."
Megatron replied.

//Who are those Decepticons?// Bumblebee asked.

"Starscream and Shockwave."

"That was a really quick response, Knockout." Ratchet stated.

Knockout continued, "Well Starscream is a little shit who only follows Megatron because he is a coward, and Shockwave, although a brilliant scientist, is quite psychotic with a certain fondness for dismembering bodies."

"Then they will be delt with."

I countered "Megatron I do not wish for them to be killed, we have lost enough lives in this war."

Megatron went silent then nodded and I smiled a little because this was really happening the war was really ending. Megatron looked at me the quickly looked at Soundwave and started speaking, "We will have to devise a plan to capture them safely then," He then turned back to me and stated, "I will inform you if we need any assistance."

He then got up and walked away with Soundwave and Knockout close behind.

I then gathered my team and returned back to base.
