Family of secrets (Fem!PercyXDC)

Year three and a beach talk

The next months went by fast and with much fun, but also many fights. The bats had to fight criminals and being careful to not let the secret slip to Percy. And Percy had to fight monsters in secret and being careful to not involve her family.

Every now and then Percy visited Atlantis over the weekends or when her family is away. The summer came soon and that means for Percy most probably another quest.

She had an appointment with Andrew before they go to camp together, but of course she was stuck in an explosion and blamed for it.

The Wayne's once again were happy about the fact of Percy's ability to come away without giving away her name. And the family once again waited for the youngest member to come back.

(The battle of the Labyrinth happened like in the books, but Percy was troubled to leave Calypso because they became good friends. Same with Percy and Rachel, they simply were good friends.)

Like every Summer, Percy left a week earlier to spend a week in Atlantis with Orin, Mera and Kaldur and like last year, Kaldur was assigned as her guard. The day before she left, Percy got a visit from her father.

"Good evening, Percy. Kaldur'ahm, can you please leave us alone for a few minutes." Said boy nodded and bowed. "Of course, my lord. If I'm needed, call me." And he left the father-daughter duo alone before Poseidon spoke again. "Percy, I would like to give you something as a birthday present. Here, you will know, when the time comes, how to spend it. Please keep in mind, that I love you no matter what decision you make." He said and gave her a little packet.

"Thanks dad, I'll keep that in mind. And I wanted to thank you for the present of last year." She answered and hugged him.

"No problem, I hope it will help you and someday safe your life. But now I have to go, or Zeus will punish me for interact with you too long." Percy nodded, and her father left while she held the packet in her hand tight.

At the next day, it was time to leave again and like last year, it was a tearful goodbye. "Goodbye Percy and please visit at least once before your next birthday. I want to make sure you can control your powers before the battle. Be careful. Many more monsters than already would like to see you dead, because they would have a chance to win the war if you are dead. Please be more careful than the last years. I see you as my daughter and don't want to attend your funeral. I love you, Percy." Mera said while she hugged Percy tight, and Orin soon joined the hug.

"I too see you as a daughter and love you as one. So please promise to visit and don't die." The ravenette had tears in her eyes but gave a hollow laugh. "I promise I will visit as often as I can without raising suspicious by my family. And for the don't die part, I can't promise, you know how dangerous the life is for a half-blood." They hugged one last time before Percy swam away with Kaldur like last year.

"Percy, before you leave, please take this, and open it at your birthday. I hope you like it. And if you ever want to talk to someone but you can't talk to your family, I will always have an ear open for you princess." He told her at the begin of the river.

"Thanks, Kal, I'm sure, I will like it. And I think especially this year, I will have to talk to someone about my doubts." She said and kissed his cheek before swimming away. He just swam there in stupor and thought about what happened.

He couldn't believe that Percy, his princess, kissed him on the cheek and told him, she will call. About ten minutes later a fish nudged him and he snapped out to swim back to Atlantis, where he met with two of his friends.

As Percy knocked at the front door of the manor, she, once again was greeted by Alfred who smiled at her. "Hello Percy, Master Bruce and Master Richard are on a little trip at the moment. They will meet with us tomorrow at the beach-cabin so we can celebrate your birthday together in two days." He said and Percy stepped in before hugging him.

"Please unpack your bags, so you can pack a new one for the next three days. And put your clothes into the laundry-chute. After that we can have a few cookies if you want, and you can tell me about your summer." The old butler said with a warm smile on his face which the girl gave back. "Thanks Alfred, this would be great. Meet you at the lower living-room in fifteen minutes." And she ran upstairs to her room.

Ten minutes later both sat in the room with cookies together and Percy spoke up. "So, this summer, we made a trip again and visited mays sights, like Alcatraz, the Rocky Mountains, Mt. St. Hellen's, and Mt. Tam. It was very funny, I made two new friends. But one of them lives on an island and was just for a visit here." She told him and he smiled at her.

The next day the two of them drove early in the morning to prepare the cabin. Around lunch time, the other two Wayne's arrived and were greeted by a hyperactive Percy. "Welcome back! I missed you guys so much! How was your summer?" The girl asked, and her uncle answered.

"Hey little mermaid, we missed you too and my summer was fun, but also serious because of my business. How was your summer?"

"It was cool. At first normal camp-activities and after a few days, we made a trip all over the US, like we visited Alcatraz, the Rocky-mountains, and the Mt. St. Hellen. After the trip, we made again normal camp stuff."

Dick looked a bit jealous at her, because of her explaining's every summer. That she has the possibility for such activities while they have to be ready for a probably attack at every time. But on the other hand, they are happy about it and the fact, that Percy can be so normal and don't have to worry about them. (Yeah right. Normal) like last year they celebrated Percy's birthday on the beach and played the whole day in the sand and ocean.

In the evening as the males once again went inside to prepare dinner, she sat on a stone in the waves and pulled the two presents out. She opened the present from her dad first and found a sand dollar in it.

With it was a note on which the exact same words stand, that he already told her in her room in the palace. Afterwards she opened the present form Kaldur. Inside were shell earrings and a shell bracelet in a box. On top of the box was a note.

Hello princess, I hope you like the present.

I know it isn't worth a princess, but I thought it could fit your style. If you ever need help but are unable to send an iris message to someone, just push one earring in your ear, and speak into the bracelet these words: 'Hey Kal.' I have a shell in my pocket and if you speak into one of yours, I hear it and will come to help you, or I will just answer you if it's a simple question. This is like a version of a phone but completely monster-prove and safe for you. Of course, you can also use it if you simply want me to come to talk if you can't come to Atlantis. I will always have an ear for you.

She smiled and decided to use it right now. She put on the bracelet and earrings and held it to her mouth. "Kaldur, I want to talk. I'm currently at the beach." The ravenette smiled and waited a few minutes until her friend came out of the water. "Hello princess."

"Hey Kal, what did I say about titles?" He sighed. "Only if we aren't alone or not with friends." She smiled. "Yes. And I wanted to thank you for the presents. I love them. They may be jewellery, but they aren't too much and remind me of the sea."

Kaldur smiled. "I'm glad you like them. But you look like something is worrying you." Percy sighted. "Your right, as I reached that place, I remembered something from last year. I sang for the fishes and somehow, my legs turned into a mermaid tail. I thought maybe you know something about it."

The blonde shook his head. "I'm sorry, I never heard of that. But maybe it is just a power of yours as a daughter of Poseidon?"

"Maybe. Sorry but I have to go before my family goes crazy." He smiled at the ravenette who looked a bit apologetically. "No problem Percy. Happy birthday." And Kaldur swam back under the surface, while Percy walked back to her family.
